My Accommodation In Prague
Staying at a Women's Only Hostel

This place is ran by women for women. So it startled me when I heard male voices, but it turned out to be engineers doing some work. They're a really friendly bunch that run the hostel and they do put a lot of effort into the place. Like a little garden area, which wasn't really being used cause it's cold outside. I like the little art room they have in campus one. Also nice they let you have free cereal and pancakes. Someone comes in to make them from scratch. I think it's one of the most fanciest hostels I have ever stayed in.

I got to cook with the complimentary pasta and some ingredients someone left over and said they were free to use. The only thing I bought was the tomato sauce and olives. I surprised myself because the food turned out nice and I didn't set the fire alarm off. I don't think a lot of people use the cooking area much other than the person who makes the pancakes. I think a lot of people either eat out or get a takeaway. I don't blame them to be honest. I think I've only eaten out once or twice on this trip. I made a chickpea pesto salad that kept me going for the first few days, and I did try some other stuff out and about too.

At first I thought it was just Tuesday mornings they do the pancakes but it is every morning they do it. I think I will have them tomorrow so I only need to worry about lunch and dinner. At the moment I have stopped fasting cause the doctor recommended me to stop after collapsing from the COVID jab. I don't think I will ever get an injection again after all that. I like how simple and thoughtful the breakfast was because they really put an effort doing all this. I think it's a shame that all the events are happening in campus one and not in campus 2 either. Campus one definitely had more going on, and campus two where I am staying is very quiet, pretty but not as lively.

The manager collects pens and they asked all guests to get a pen or pencil from the city they're in. I got one from Birmingham as I was flying from Birmingham airport. They really liked it. I think it's funny how they sell I Love London products in the Birmingham Airport gift shop though. They've really got a collection going on and I think they're gonna run out of space soon. I think I did see they had a board where they have stuck pencils from different places.

People can really show their creativity and express themselves in this little art corridor. Downstairs there is a tray which contains cat ears and lipstick and you can kiss the wall. If I had brought my own lipstick I might have considered it, but I already have a runny nose and sore throat so don't want to risk it getting any worse. Even though I like the business in campus 1 I like the fact I can get decent sleep and my own bed in campus 2. They're not that far from each other but between the two campuses is a restaurant and an eye surgery place.

Look at this! They even have their own record player. I've never seen anyone use it. I think there are some records in the cupboard and that might be one by the white mask. Below is the lipstick wall I was talking about. Going up the stairs in the lights makes me feel like I am entering some sort of sapphic nightclub.

I picked the place cause it was in the centre of Prague, was cheap and there seemed to be a lot of stuff to do. Wednesday was wine night I think but I didn't see anything in the WhatsApp group about it. I already had three beers so I'm alright.
