Is there really a mystery?

By Cheryl A Nocera Published about a year ago 3 min read

Happy New Year 2025 to everyone reading this article. Another page has turned from one year to the next. I have to say my first week of the new year has been interesting, and there has been some mystery.

My gift for the new year was the flu. Yes, lots of fun with that. But then I am on the train my first day back to work, and I met a man that was on his way to Finland to learn how to Bobsled. How cool is that? I cannot wait to learn about this amazing experience. Then a couple of days later the building I work in had a cool hot chocolate, and coffee bar called, The Coffee Trike. Basically, it is a coffee and hot chocolate bar right on a Tricycle, and the people who make the drinks are dressed in bowler hats. Honestly look this business up. Who knows maybe you might want them in your job.

OK, so where is the mystery in all this? For me mystery is unexpected things that happen, and what force creates them. I am usually very aware, and could not have predicted any of these cool things happening. Life itself for me is a mystery. What makes life a mystery? Mystery is something that is difficult to explain, or understand. However, very intriguing. You are drawn to it. For me I am a paranormal investigator, and an energy healer. I am drawn to multiple things. If there is a strange sound I am going to follow it until I know what is creating it. If there is a shadow or feeling I am going to learn what it is before I brush it off.

In life we are drawn to know what comes next. Will they like me, will there be another date, will I get that job, or promotion? What school should I attend, and what is there when I go? All of these are questions people ask themselves, or wonder before making a choice, or off to their next adventure. Whether you know it or not you are drawn to it.

I learned a new word called werifesteria (Old English) meaning to wander longingly, through the forest in search of mystery posted by Belgae, Eburonen. What does this word mean to me? It means as I stand where I am right now I know my quest for answers is not over. I know that I am intrigued to find out what is next, or what will be my next chapter in life.

I am a person that gets bored easy, and I am always learning new things. I started out many years years ago writing short stories for myself, poems, then I learned to play guitar, keyboard, and sing while writing my own songs, I pretended to learn art (not my strong suit), create essential oils, create my own talk show, and etc. I am writing this so anyone reading this will try their own things. Do not stop at writing go further. If you are someone who likes reading then write a book, if you are someone who enjoys art make something, and if you are someone who enjoys the beauty in life get out there and make some noise. Don't just sit back and admire someone else, be the creator. Get on Instagram. BTW I am still waddling my way through that mystery. One day I will learn Instagram.

With age also comes a mystery. We all age, and trust me it happens fast. One day you are active living your best life in your thirties, and then snap not so active in your fifties. There are times it is a mystery whether or not I will actually sleep. Can not wait for that to happen.

So take life as a mystery. Create your own mystery. Make life exciting. Do not always know what will be next. If you are single get some friends together, and go on adventure in your town, or state. Now they have these escape rooms. I personally will not do it, because I am sure I will still be there. Find out the newest trends in your area. Also, for us writers there are reading events all around. Just make life more exciting. BTW: Check out this cool new book written by a close friend of mine Claire Crean, https://a.co/d/4FMVy7D.

I cannot wait to read about everyones new adventure.
