Below is a map of Tasmania downloaded from the Internet. It is also known as the "heart-shaped island", or the "heart of the world", because it is shaped like a human heart. And because the heart-shaped island of Tasmania is located at the southernmost tip of Australia, Antarctica is within easy reach of crossing the Channel. Antarctica is a continent with no permanent inhabitants, so Tower Island has the title of the end of the world. If you look at a map of the world, Tasmania and Antarctica are literally at the end of the human world, just across the sea. From this map, we can see the shape of Tower Island, just ten days, we left our footprints on this map, feeling at the end of the world to embrace the heart of the world.

Cadenette Canyon After leaving the market, we went to cadnet Canyon, a suburban park. It's a suburb, but it's only a kilometer from the city center. This is actually a forest park and a nature reserve, known locally as Cadnet Canyon because of its mountains and rivers. The canyon is a 10-minute walk from the city center along the Tamar River, or follow the cliff-face trail, built in the 1890s, that offers stunning views of the South Esque River.

Looking Back...Final Thoughts.
I have really enjoyed my different experiences on the AT, or the Appalachian Trail, which is an east coast mountain range that runs the length of Georgia to Maine. My first adventures started in a previous blog, which you can read here. I try to be a stickler on my mileage as I’m hiking, but enjoyed the daily-occurring spurts of spontanety. That could be stopping to chat with someone in a shelter, listening to the wildlife around me (NOT rattlesnakes!), listening to other's conversations, hearing the background of why people are on the trail, and even smelling nature.
