Hey, Chicago – Can I Come Back Now??
It was July 1, 1999, when my daughter-in-law, 2-year-old granddaughter, and I left Ashland, Kentucky for the big city of Chicago. From there, we'd catch a train to Great Lakes Naval Air Station to witness Kaela's dad graduating from boot camp. I hadn't been to the Windy City in decades, and they'd never seen it, so I thought was safer if we took the Greyhound™ bus.

Little Rock City Park, New York
The 2018 Summer will be over in about two months. There is still plenty of fun to be had and some of it can come pretty cheap! Maybe you're still trying to enjoy this year’s record hot weather outdoors, instead of in a motel or hotel. You could be on the last few days driving home from vacation and would like to cut costs. If you're anything like me, you just need to get away from civilization for a little bit. Whichever it is, you need a financial break. I know a park just north of Allegany State Park that can offer you a break for free. I have gone there myself and it's pretty isolated, but don't go alone! It's rumored to be haunted, which is perfect for those who like a ghost hunt all year round!

The Backpacker
Steve was lost. He had no idea where he was or where he was going. All he knew, was that he was a traveler, a long way from home wandering around this continent aimlessly. The train stopped. A conductor said something to him in a tongue unknown to him. Looking out the window and onto the platform, he realized that this was the end of the line. He picked up his backpack and walked out onto the platform looking around him. Scattered around the place, were other travelers. His eye caught one of them. A young, blonde girl he had seen at the station before boarding the train in Bangkok the previous evening. He had assumed by her appearance that she was either American or Canadian. Nervously, he decided to ask her where he was.

The Hershey Chocolate Factory
In Pennsylvania lies a small town that was once home to the first nationally distributed confection during the early 1900s, Hershey's Chocolates. Back then the small town was known as Derry Township. After Milton S. Hershey moved there, he got into big business using his milk chocolate formula, and really started to establish himself by building many of the town's buildings. Especially important to him and his wife Catherine, since they couldn't have children of their own, was The Hershey Industrial School for Orphan Boys. Today, it has almost 2,000 students—boys and girls—under its financially self-sustained educational wings, which are funded by the Hershey Trust Company. It is called the Milton Hershey School.
