A Compass Tour of Glasgow
Housing a vibrant community of creatives due to the infamous art school (the one that has burnt down not once, but twice), Glasgow still very much stands in Edinburgh's shadow when it comes to tourism. Although it lacks the picturesque architecture and overused tartan, Glasgow is a city to be experienced, as opposed to being seen.

An Afternoon at an Artist's Flat in BCN
It was day four, and I could not for the life of me think of anything else we could do in Barcelona—which sounds rather daft. Surely in a big and vibrant city like Barna there's enough to keep you occupied for longer than four days, right?

Autumn in Peachland, BC
Long before I lived in the Okanagan, the little town of Peachland on the shores of Okanagan Lake had captured my imagination. Watching Real Estate TV from the comfort of my Burnaby home, I dreamed with longing of the day I would become a Peachland resident. Well, I haven't made that happen, but I am now close enough to visit regularly and spontaneously.

Palermo, That's All
I don't tell those kinds of stories. You know the ones. The Three Drunk Norwegians. The Narcotrafficantes Who Chased Me Through The Jungle That Time. The Multigenerational Balinese Family Who Taught Me How To Love. Is there any greater bore than a travel bore? I can see myself even now, desperately checking my phone for messages while some pompous narcissist drones on about how in Mongolia, like, everything was like, four-dimensional. They talk about travel broadening the mind, but I see people's focus narrowing constantly, shrinking with every border they cross until every country merges into the others, and all that remains in the bright bare circle of focus is themselves.

Why I Always Fly with Virgin
I wouldn’t call myself a frequent flyer, but I do have at least 1-2 holidays a year which are mainly long-haul. They are usually to the Caribbean and Americas. One of my last holidays was to St. Lucia, a lovely country with great food, hotels, and culture. A bit on the pricey side, but the warm welcome given more than makes up for the empty pockets on your return.

I Moved to Balmoral Beach
I just moved to Sydney, Australia from the States. I moved in with the kindest and most fun Australian couple, who my dad had met through work. I’d never met them and they never had met me, but they offered their spare room in Balmoral Beach to me with open arms.
