Tulum, Mexico
Although my astrological sign is an earth sign, I've always gravitated to the calmness of the water. During this quarantine, I've realized that I've been taking advantage of the California weather and beaches. There is nothing like watching the sunset after a long day of work, feeling the coolness come off the water, brushing across your face or your feet being submerged deep in the sand. It can be a place to bring clarity to your problems or a place to forget your questions I've noticed being near water gives me a chance to bring calm to my anxiety and meditate on the next phases of my life. I chose Tulum, Mexico, as my destination of choice. Tulum provides the perfect mixture of water, sand, and green landscape that provides the perfect escapism.

Welcome to Palau!
Since I was born and raised in Hawaiʻi, I have seen pretty much everything that most tourists come here to experience; we have crisp blue water, lush green landscapes, amazing food but I want to take a vacation to the beautiful island of Palau.

Four kids and a bug.
You know, most college kids go someplace a little different for spring break. Now that they (many average college kids at least) are able to FINALLY get away from their parents, they go, perhaps to Florida...? I was never the most traditional. Perhaps Vegas? I must be honest, my only college Vegas experience was seeing a drugged up homeless man walk out into traffic and get killed on impact. Right outside of our hotel. But, I suppose thats enough of the morbid. This is about living, not dying.

How the woman who always has a holiday booked is coping
The effects of this current situation, what it actually is really settled on me this week. I say 'settled on me' because I haven't for a second felt surprised by any of it, I have an understanding of what's happening and why, but a few things happened this week that brought the sadness of it all to me a bit.

This Is The Amazing Transformation Of An Important Roman Trackway
Streatham High Road is one of capital major arterial roads. From Roman times, and after their departure, the principal road through Streatham remained a significant trackway. From the 17th century, it was used as the primary coach road to Croydon and East Grinstead, after on to Newhaven and Lewes. In 1780 it became the route of the turnpike road from London to Brighton, and subsequently became the basis for the modern A23.
