The Best NYC Trip
I remember it so well. It was with my then fiancé now wife. She took me to NYC for the very first time. We went during the US Open and NYC fashion-week. We approached after about four hours from Chicago the NYC sky line was just incredible in the mid-morning more than how you read and see it in pictures. An incredible start of holiday that I had no idea would be one of the best trips ever.

The 5 Days of Kilimanjaro
I reached the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro at 6:48 AM on July 7, 2016. The sun emerged over the convexed horizon as my labored breaths and pounding heart powered my body to the peak. In one moment, five days’ efforts came to an apex of adrenaline and pure exhilaration. There I was, about 11,000 feet closer to the sun than I had ever been before (the summit is 19,341 feet in elevation). I swear I could hear the Earth creak like a medieval drawbridge, rotating under its own weight.

The "B.C. Effect"
When my friends and family read the title of this story, they will no doubt roll their eyes and say something along the lines of, "OK, OK, we get it - B.C. is the best place on earth...now shut it and move on!" And honestly, I wouldn't blame them. I haven't shut up about how beautiful the Western-most province of Canada is since I came back home to Ontario in July. But - can you really blame me for this?! There's just something about that province that was able to completely flip my perspective and mindset. Having grown up in the suburbs outside of Toronto, I typically think of "nature" as being up at a cottage in the Muskokas. Yes, we have lovely, curated trails to walk and bike through, with beautiful trees and gardens. But...nothing, and I mean NOTHING, compares to the majesty of British Columbia.

Here Today Gone to Maui
Here Today, Gone to Maui I flew into Honolulu, then took a connecting flight to Maui. Once I landed, I stepped out into the warm tropical breeze with what little belongings I had under one arm. I landed with $150 in my pocket, plus the 4 ounces of hash and the LSD. My flute case made it easy to transport the stash with its false bottom with ample room for the goodies. It was a foolproof plan back then because there was no such thing as X-raying luggage or TSA security. Nobody was looking through your shit.

Why are black people don't go for camping?
"Do I look like a camp for you?" splutters my friend Kiren. And I have to admit, her dry hair and beautiful nails don't scream "tent lover". What about Anna, who grew up in Macclesfield, a rocky outcrop in the Peak region? "What can I do for you?" he asks, busy. Email, on the other hand, never even considered putting it in a tent.

Living Local- Adventures
We've all heard about how buying local is better. It supports local businesses and farmers, gives you a stronger connection to the product, lowers the environmental impacts of travel and lessens contributions to unsafe and unfair work places. But what about adventuring local?

The Red Centre Down Under: Why it needs to be on your bucket list. . Top Story - September 2020.
When you think of the Northern Territory, Australia… Do you think of red dirt, crocodiles, and flies? If you answered yes to the above, I can’t blame you. I thought the same for the first half of my career in travel before I had the opportunity to explore the hidden jewels of outback Australia.

Serendipity: How the wrong place was the right time.
It was the late August summer of 2019. I was embarking on a once in a lifetime opportunity to backpack through parts of central and eastern Europe. At this point, I was leaving Budapest by bus and on my way to a small city called Bratislava in Slovakia since it was on the way to Prague in Czech Republic. Bratislava was only an hour in a half drive from Budapest so I knew it wouldn't be a long excursion. I dozed off for a bit rather passively. When I woke up, I noticed we were close to a bus terminal being that the rural lands off the interstate were behind us. However, I looked around from my seat and there were clearly less people on the bus. Looking at the time, it had been three hours since I boarded the bus. It was then that the driver announced, “We’ll be pulling into Vienna’s station in about five minutes.” To my surprise, I slept long enough to miss my stop and wind up back in Vienna, Austria, where I had stopped a week prior but had no plans on returning. I walked up to the driver and explained my story, which he could only chuckle a bit and then advise me to get off at the next stop and wait for a bus leaving for Bratislava. I was taken aback, but there wasn’t much I could do but heed his advice so I went back to my seat.
