Move Over, Walmart! Costa Rica's Pulperías are Alive & Well!
Everyone here in Costa Rica was so surprised when Walmart purchased HiperMas, Palí, Más x Menos, Maxibodega and who knows what other stores! They certainly have a stronghold in many Central American countries now. The good news is that all of the items that we used to have to ask our traveling friends to bring back to us here in Costa Rica from the USA and Canada can be purchased here now.

How I Got the Nerve to Go Backpacking Alone
Doing anything alone is hard for a lot of people - we are social creatures, even us introverts, so it takes courage to decide to be alone. Only, doing something by ourselves is the biggest test of our resolve. We face the opinions of other people - expressions of concern, lack of encouragement, or intimidating expectation of success. Yet the more times we do something alone, the more we practice putting our foot down and doing what is the best for us. This is what I did on my first time backpacking alone. The results were exhilarating.

Why Collecting Experiences is Important
I once heard a quote from Walt Disney that said, “We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths”. I truly believe that. Life as we know it can change in an instant. I learned that the hard way when I lost my hearing in 2006. The first time I heard something similar I was a freshman at Arizona State University (ASU). This orientation speaker said to “make the most of your college experience”. At the time, I thought it was just some cliché statement that they make every year to every single freshman. However, I embraced the idea since it seemed like I collected a new friend every day the first three weeks of school (many I have dubbed my college sisters and am still close with today). Oh the adventures we had and created (don't worry ladies; I'm not spilling the beans LOL). These are moments and experiences I will cherish forever.

Best travel tips for South East Asia
1. Cheapest way to travel from Thailand to Cambodia Train from central Bangkok train station Hua Lamphong to Aranyaprathet, this train journey is roughly 5/6 hours and costs around $1 or 40 Baht. This is bar far the cheapest way I've found to get to Cambodia from Thailand. The train will take you directly to the boarder where you can go and get a visa on arrival. This boarder crossing has a lot of scams to be aware of, however. There will be lovely ladies selling prepared rich dishes and pre-cut mangos for a very low cost walking throughout the journey, so don't worry if you forget to pack snacks or water.

Diwali To Be Celebrated Accross The World During Pandemic
Diwali is a very auspicious time of year for all Hindu's. It is recognised as the Indian festival of lights which usually lasts five days. It is celebrated during the Hindu Lunisolar month Kartika which is usually between mid October and mid November. One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolizes the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. The festival is widely associated with Lakshmi, goddess of prosperity, with many other regional traditions connecting the holiday to Sita and Rama, Vishnu, Krishna, Yama, Yami, Durga, Kali, Dhanvantari, or Vishvakarman. Furthermore, it is, in some regions, a celebration of the day Lord Rama returned to his kingdom Ayodhya after defeating the demon-king Ravana.
