Mary Jane
Hold the gate! Dee shouted to Dave. He was deaf in one ear but always managed to hear when she was close by. His deep green eyes would light up when he saw her, and he was always the first to wave with his beaming smile when they crossed paths at the marina. Today was no different. Scanning his security fob and waiting for the click to release the bolt, Dave waited as Dee raced towards him with a wobbly wheelbarrow piled high like a double ice cream cone.

The Writer & The Illustrator
Oliver Wendell Winston the Third Oliver Wendell Winston the Third was bored. He lived in a time when children were preferred to be seen and not heard, and it was better when they were not seen as well. His father had clients in the study, which left Oliver alone in the library. There, the dark-haired, freckled-faced boy sat quietly in his chair, surrounded by books.

Life-changing Money
Mudi checked his watch yet again, and then again almost immediately. The man had said 3 o’clock, but this was "African time," so Mudi knew it could be another hour, even two. Still, he could not stop grinning. He had fantastic teeth, pearlescent and white juxtaposed strongly against his black skin. Neema began to fidget beside him.

The Maiden Voyage
In the waning days of lazy summer afternoons and warm nights abuzz with the dwindling lights of fireflies, Amber could often be found beneath the fragrant Magnolia tree in her back yard. She would sprawl out on a giant blanket and read for hours and watch the clouds go by while listening to the soft, summer breeze and the symphony of rustling leaves that would soon be changing and falling to the ground. She was a dreamer and an eternal optimist, which people found to be a bit ridiculous. Amber didn't care. She might be a little silly for spending so much time with her head in the clouds, but it was just her nature and it couldn't be helped. From a young age, Amber knew she was different than all the other girls her age, but it didn't bother her in the slightest.

An astonishing excursion
An astonishing excursion By Sheyla Laplante Shellie, thirty years old French Canadian woman studying business online and working part-time as a server in a local pub, originally from Quebec, and resident of British Columbia for the past ten years, knew the area well and loved to explore it. After hearing of this wonderful place called Bannock point she decided to go check it out one day. On her birthday, at the end of June, she decided to take some alone time in the forest. After a two-hour drive from Castlegar, Shellie made it to the parking lot, excited to go unwind, she hiked down to the beach. On her way down, she noticed something uncommon, a gigantic feathery heart, approximately thirty feet away from the trail suspended between the pine trees. She decided to go take a closer look at this unusual flying object. She discovered on the back of the heart a note saying “If you need me you will find me, I may seem forgotten and without value, but you should know better than to judge a book by its cover.” After reading this intriguing note, she finds her way back to the trail and continues descending towards the water.

My Experience Visiting Disney World During COVID-19
I just got back from a quick trip from Walt Disney World. FYI - my feet still hurt from all the walking ! I have visited Disney World three times prior to COVID-19. Once as an adult only trip and twice with children. I knew that there were quite a few differences due to COVID-19 but it was personally important for me to take my son for his 5th Birthday. Here are the major differences that I personally experienced.

The Coffee Shop
I can't help but wonder if my mom was right. I've never been this far from home, but here I am on a sticky bus with everything that is important to me in my untouched suitcase. My essence in North Carolina fades with each state line I pass, but the ropes of that small town loosen against my skin. I'm going to New York. I'm going to be a writer. I'm going to be a NY Best Selling author. Hours go by and a small overhead light at the front of the bus has kept me comfortable. I smiled to myself as I drifted asleep.

The Wind-blown Letter
Elise zipped up her coat against the chill wind that was blowing through central Paris that afternoon, but it didn’t make her feel any warmer or happier. She normally didn’t mind the cold of late autumn because it made her mother’s little stationery shop on Rue du Pont Louis-Philippe seem even more cosy and inviting. But the shop wouldn’t be there for much longer, and the thought made her feel cold inside. Their landlord was apologetic, but said that he had to sell the building and the new owner would be tearing it down to build apartments. If they could find twenty thousand Euros he would sell it to them, but they didn’t have anything near that amount of money.
