TikTok Made Me Fall In Love With VanLife
I’m sure many people have seen the beautiful posts on Pinterest and TikTok of #Vanlife. We’ve all seen the clips of someone waking up from their bed, grabbing their already made coffee, and opening the doors of their van to look out onto their view of the beach or mountainside. It’s simplistic and beautiful with just a slice of home brought with you. Of course, living that lifestyle isn’t always as amazing and easy as the posts make it seem, but I fell in love with it anyway. They inspired me to sell my car and buy a van for myself. I was incredibly fortunate to find one for sale that was already converted, and I couldn’t be happier! There are so many reasons I want to live in vanlife, and I can’t wait to get started!

8th Grade Grad Wins a Trip to NYC from a Scratch- Off Ticket
Ok, so maybe I created the scratch off ticket and really it was an 8th grade graduation gift... but either way we both won...because neither of us had been to the Big Apple. We're from a small town in Evansville, IN (Population: 118,588 -2019). The closest we've gotten to New York City is Chicago. We LOVE visiting downtown Chicago.

Ghost Stories
There are some amazing things about Edinburgh, but, if you know anything about me, you can imagine that all the ghost stories were something that brought me some interest. From Red Deer to Nessie
Like many days in Scotland, it was cloudy with rain slowly falling on Loch Ness. The cool March day kept most tourists from looking for Nessie. The ash and larch trees looked thick and healthy on the hillsides surrounding the loch. The strong breeze pushed the water back and forth, and any splashes that reached the boaters felt quite cool. The tour boat set out with the guide pointing to his house on the hillside. Imagine waking up every day and looking down on Loch Ness; the hillsides surrounding it beautiful with trees and a light dusting of snow or a warm day with rays of sunshine shimmering on the loch.

In all the places that people want to go on vacation in their lives they never considered going to a little bit across the ocean to a wonderful country called Australia. This is a magical place to go visit on vacation, or maybe you happened to want to move there eventually and maybe you grew up there to call it your home.

Moving it with King Julian
I will not be the first to admit that for a very long time my knowledge of madagascan fauna consisted of a crazed ring-tailed lemur who memorably performs I Like to Move It at a rave for animals in the jungle. Years after my parents first took me to see the DreamWorks animation Madagascar, however, while rewatching the movie sequel for the umpteenth time with my boyfriend in our newly rented apartment in London, I came to an irreversible eureka moment.
