My Adventure in Greece Part I
One of the Army's benefits is being stationed in Germany, where travel throughout Europe is cheap and convenient due to the mass transportation options. When I had a long weekend, I took every opportunity to travel, and in 2005, I made a trip to Athens, Greece. After reading about Greek mythology, studying Alexander the Great's exploits, and saw the Elgin Marbles in London, I always wanted to visit Greece.

Swirl
The store sat at the corner of 8th. It had transitioned between stores until finally ending up where it was. At one point it was a butcher, an eye glass store, and a corner market. Now it was a consignment store. A little paradise in a city of cookie cutter houses and chain food restaurants. The store was different and it was busy. I worked at the store working through college. I knew who was a serious buyer and who was a browser, I knew the people who would bring in 1980s crap and call it “vintage” and the pickers who would bring in something beautiful. Like lemonade pink glass Fostoria pitchers, Victorian teacups and saucers, or mid-century walnut furniture. Yes, it was a lot of work to filter the important from the junk, and sometimes clients felt that I wielded my power-axe of “no” too often. Maybe. But, no one could accuse me of taking something that you could find at the next antique store. I took beautiful. I selected it. I handpicked it. And I was good.

My Dream Destination: Scotland
I became a huge fan of the Scottish romantic-comedy movie Gregory's Girl (1981) when I was only 7 years old. Asides from Gregory’s Girl and my love for British culture being the main sources of travel inspiration, I have other reasons why I wish to visit Scotland one day; I have Scottish ancestry and my grandmother is Scottish. I enjoyed spending time in England so much that I eventually discovered other possible vacation destinations in the United Kingdom like Scotland.

Walking the Dog in an Interdependent & Independent-Minded State!
Welcome to Northwest Indiana, says Roxy, who loyally panted by my side after a long and winding stroll down our new “hood” over a year ago. Her older sister, Nitty, rested in the other room – always, "On-Call". Today, the dog walked very well, in what is still “new” Northeastern Indiana territory. Remember, she’s an undomesticated wild pack dog from Aruba... and has ALLERGIES. I’m from the South Chicagoland Area, mentally ill, and came with an elderly cat with ongoing FOOD desires. Read on, and you might learn why people love their dogs here, the obligations of all pet lovers out there to be responsible, communicate effectively with other people providing care for the animal and by being kind and mindful, as you should be to yourself!

Fishing
Jim’s Woods – Fishing. Fishing was a big part of my childhood. Not because I needed to catch fish for food. Not even because I liked catching them to eat them at all, but just because it was fun. It was fun and it gave me a reason to get outside and interact with nature. Even when we lived in the city, I took every opportunity to go fishing that arose, as few as those opportunities were.

The Titanic Museum in Branson
One of the most memorable sites I visited in Branson is the Titanic Museum at 76 Country Boulevard. One of the most remarkable tributes to the people who boarded the ship on its fateful crossing of the Atlantic in April 1912. Tens of thousands of people a year visit the Titanic Museum of Branson Missouri and it is one of the city’s most famous attractions.

How to Spend a Day in Oman
Tourists don't often see Oman as a tourist destination, but Oman is one of the best destinations, and it's easy to travel here. People are amiable, and the food is great, not to mention the excellent accommodation options. Oman is rather a large country, so it's not possible to explore everything during the course of a day, but if that's all you have, you can experience the principal tourist attractions in Muscat.
