This is a more comfortable travelling option than the train and is also more convenient as you will be reaching your destination sooner. Get off at Valaichchenai railway station and catch a taxi or three-wheeler to travel the 7km distance to Pasikuda.
Via air
The main international airport and Colombo are about 300 kilometres away from Pasikuda. Although you can cut down on travel time by taking a one-hour internal flight from Colombo directly to Batticaloa Airport, which is 45 minutes away by car, most visitors arrive here as part of a round-trip tour of the island, especially from the Cultural Triangle.
You can also land at Pasikuda Aerodrome by renting a helicopter or air taxi from Bandaranaike International Airport.
