Everest Three Pass Trek: My Best Trekking Experience
Mission Himalaya Trek

Before starting the Everest Three High Pass Trek, I didn’t know what to expect. I had done shorter treks, but this one was longer and harder. The trek covers three high passes: Kongma La (5,535m), Cho La (5,420m), and Renjo La (5,340m). It’s about 166 kilometers (103 miles) long and usually takes around 18 to 21 days to finish. Many people say it’s one of the hardest treks in Nepal, but also the most beautiful. I can now say, they are right.
From the first day, the views took my breath away. I walked through small villages, crossed high suspension bridges, and saw snow-covered mountains all around me. Namche Bazaar was the first big stop. It’s a lively place with shops, cafes, and smiling people. The trail to each pass was different. Kongma La was rocky, Cho La had icy paths, and Renjo La gave the best sunrise view I’ve ever seen.
The trek was not easy. Some days were long, and the cold was tough at night. I had to walk slowly and drink lots of water to avoid altitude sickness. But every hard step was worth it. I stood on top of each pass and felt proud, strong, and full of joy. My guide was kind and helped me stay safe and happy throughout the journey.
About 5,000 people try the Everest Three High Pass Trek each year, and most are experienced trekkers. I was not sure if I was ready, but with the right training, good gear, and a positive mind, I made it. I trained for two months, walking uphill with a backpack and doing daily hikes.
This trek is more than just mountains. I met people from around the world, learned about Sherpa culture, and felt peace in the middle of nature. The Gokyo Lakes and Everest Base Camp were part of the trail, making it even more special.
If you are looking for a big adventure and a real challenge, this trek is for you. The Everest Three High Pass Trek changed me. It made me stronger and gave me memories I will never forget. If I could do it, you can too.
