Once upon a time, in a small town, there was a house with a strange door. The house was old, with peeling paint and boarded-up windows, but it was the door that caught people's attention. It was painted black, with no handle or knob, and it was always locked. The door seemed to be a mystery, but no one dared to go near it.
One day, a young couple, John and Sarah, moved into the house next door. They were excited to start their new life together, but they couldn't help but wonder about the strange door. They asked their neighbors about it, but no one knew anything about it.
As the days passed, John became increasingly obsessed with the door. He would spend hours staring at it, trying to figure out its secrets. Sarah grew worried about him, but she couldn't convince him to stop.
One night, John had a dream. He dreamed that he had the key to the door and was able to open it. Inside, he found a staircase leading down into darkness. He descended the staircase, his heart pounding with fear, until he reached the bottom. There, he found a room with a single chair and a table. On the table was a letter.
John woke up sweating, but he couldn't shake the feeling that the dream was real. He spent the next day trying to find a way to open the door. Finally, he found an old key in the basement, and he rushed to the door.
The key fit perfectly, and the door creaked open. John's heart raced as he descended the stairs, just as he had in his dream. When he reached the bottom, he found the room, just as he had seen it in his dream.
On the table, there was a letter. John picked it up and read it, his eyes widening with horror. The letter was from a man who had lived in the house years ago. He had discovered a portal to another dimension behind the door and had been using it to travel between worlds.
But there was a catch. The portal had a guardian, a creature that fed on human souls. The man had made a deal with the creature, sacrificing his neighbors in exchange for safe passage. But he had grown tired of the arrangement and had sealed the door.
The letter warned that anyone who opened the door would be hunted by the creature. John realized too late that he had made a grave mistake. He heard a sound behind him and turned to see a creature with glowing red eyes.
He ran up the stairs, his heart pounding, but the creature was right behind him. He burst through the door, slamming it shut behind him, just as the creature lunged at him.
John never spoke of the door again, and he and Sarah moved away from the house. But sometimes, on dark, stormy nights, they could hear strange sounds coming from the house next door, and they knew that the creature was still there, waiting behind the door. The door that should never have been opened - door number 7.
