Wanna Travel to Iceland? Here's How to NOT Break the Bank. Top Story - July 2018.
Iceland's tourism industry has been booming in recent years, and it's no surprise why. It's a magnificent country with breathtaking waterfalls, marvelous volcanos, and miles of vast farmland. The only downside of this country? It can be VERY expensive. But, if you're smart with your money, it is possible to travel to Iceland on a budget. I took a 7-day trip to Iceland recently, and all in all, I spent around $1350. How did I do it? Let me share my tips. :)

Small Town Girl’s Travel Guide to NYC
I grew up in the middle of nowhere in South Dakota. You know the state that you had no idea people lived in? Where my graduating class was 13 people. Where you had to drive 60 miles if you wanted fast food. Yep. That was my life. Now, as a 24-year-old young professional in the real world, I have decided to pursue travel writing. I had my first trip to NYC, my first trip to the upper East Coast in general, and I can say I was more than nervous. The least of my worries was the harsh winter weather. As I flew into the airport, I thought about all the things I thought I knew about New York: Time Square, Lady Liberty, Central Park, the small spaces, the city that never sleeps, the depressed people. What I came to discover was some things weren’t quite what they seemed, and some were extremely accurate. Here is NYC at a glance from a young Midwestern girl:

Beautiful Ocean City, MD
Imagine it. Sitting on the warm sandy beach with a drink and a book, occasionally glancing up to watch the kids ride the waves into shore. Beautiful blue skies with just the slightest ocean breeze keep the heat at bay. Watching the sunset from the balcony of your condo is amazing. This is what my family waits for every year. We love visiting Ocean City, Maryland. It’s about a 5-hour drive from most parts of the Hudson Valley. We usually make it a longer trip and stop at different places along the way.

Salamancas' Forgotten Town
I have been told that I have a gypsy soul. This is a phrase and a name that I like. This is because I have an insatiable desire to explore and discover new places. It's hard to imagine ever staying in one place for a long time and not going off to find what lies undiscovered somewhere else. My fiance and I like to explore new places. We like to stumble across places where it appears no human has ever gone before. We also like to come across places where people used to live but for some reason have deserted the area. We found such a place on a recent driving trip through Spain.

What I Did With One Day in Havana. Top Story - June 2018.
With all that Havana, Cuba has to offer the prospect of spending just a day in the infamous city seemed overwhelming. Our trip to Havana was via the Norwegian Sky, a cruise ship that makes the trip from Miami to Havana and a private island in the Bahamas and back again weekly. Traveling on a cruise is always nice because it requires little planning on the part of the traveler (and you can't go wrong with a cruise that offers an open bar, am I right?). The downside to cruising is the minimal amount of time available to spend exploring the ports.

5 Great Things to Do in Santa Fe, NM
Santa Fe is a vibrant and truly historic city in northern New Mexico. Most people think of Native American pottery or silver and turquoise jewelry if they think of the City Different at all. Santa Fe is so much more than those things, though, with a history and culture all its own. Blending Spanish, Mexican, Native, and modern American ideas isn’t easy, but Santa Fe seems to do it easily.
