Tropical life in the heart of Queensland, where the rainforest meets the reef, makes Cairns one of the most unique and beautiful places in Australia.

I am going to talk about Cairns, a beautiful city in Australia. I chose this topic because Cairns is a special place for me, and I want to share some of the interesting things you can do there. The topic of my talk is the best activities in Cairns. I have three main points I’d like to make: visiting Port Douglas, exploring the Cairns Rusty`s Market, and going to the Cairns Aquarium.

Cairns is located in tropical North Queensland. It is famous for its warm climate, beaches, Great Barrier Reef, and amazing experiences for tourists. It is also my favourite city in Australia, where I travel every year and stay for a month.

First of all, let’s talk about Port Douglas.

It is one of the most beautiful places near Cairns, about one hour away by car. It is famous for its tropical climate, luxury resorts, and it is close to the Great Barrier Reef. A good example of this is: long, sandy beaches, warm weather, good shopping, and many restaurants, especially seafood restaurants. To give you a personal example, taking a small boat trip in the evening to watch the sunset. This is a relaxing and unforgettable experience. In other words, Port Douglas is the perfect place if you want to enjoy nature, the ocean, and delicious food.

Moving on now to the next best thing to do in Cairns. One place that is a must visit is Cairns Rusty's Market .

Cairns Rusty's Market is one of the largest markets in Australia and was established in 1975 by Emrys Rusty. It is now one of the best and most beloved markets in Australia. I will give you a personal example the market opens very early in the morning and closes around midday. You can buy many kinds of fresh fruits and vegetables brought by local farmers. The smell is amazing, and everything is very fresh. Another good example is the traditional food stalls. You can enjoy many different meals and spend hours exploring the market. So, what I’m saying is, this market is not only about shopping, it is about culture, taste, and the real Cairns lifestyle.

And finally, for my last point, I would like to talk about Cairns Aquarium One of the most exciting and educational places to visit in Cairns is the Cairns Aquarium.

Cairns Aquarium is located right in the city center. It is one of the newest and largest aquariums in Australia. Its goal is to showcase the unique marine life of the Great Barrier Reef. Inside, you can see hundreds of different species of fish and sea animals. Walking through the aquarium usually takes about two hours. Also, I would like to share from my experience there is a special dining experience. You can have dinner next to a giant glass wall with many fish swimming behind it, while enjoying traditional Australian food. Based on this, we can say that the aquarium is not only educational but also a very memorable place to visit.

Overall, Cairns is full of unique experiences, from beaches and shopping to food and marine life. It is a city that combines relaxation, culture, and adventure. I hope one day you will also have a chance to visit Cairns and experience these wonderful places.

Cairns will always have a special place in my heart. It is tropical charm, amazing nature and a destination worth returning to again and again.
