Absolved of All Sins!

Or so said our tour guide

Monument to Georgian-Armenian friendship at Akhtala Monastery

We went on a day trip to Armenia with my son and friend Katie to explore its apostolic monasteries. Our first stop, Akhtala Monastery, had a monument to Armenian-Georgian friendship in the form of two rings joined by a pomegranate, the national fruit of both countries.

"If you step on the scorpion, then the snake's head, and then on the scorpion again, you'll be absolved of all your sins!" our guide said.

Katie went first. "Take my picture," she asked, "I'll send it to my Catholic aunt. No more confessions!"

"We're absolved!" I said, going through the rings as well.

100 words exactly makes it a Drabble.

Scorpion, snake, scorpion

Great to read a non fiction Drabble. Not sure that 3 steps would be enough to absolve me though

  • Love the sculpture, your story and the options for absolution
