There are so many things available to buy in Disneyland and Disney World. You can get things you forgot to bring and tons of souvenirs.

There are a few surprising things you can’t buy in Disney parks though. So if you’re going to want any of these items while on your Disney vacation, then make sure to buy them before you go and bring them with you.

1. Portable Neck Fans

We all know Florida is hot for a good portion of the year and California can be pretty hot too, especially in the summer.

One common way people beat the heat is to use portable neck fans. This makes the heat much more bearable.

Surprisingly, you cannot purchase these in the Disney parks. Maybe one day they’ll offer them, but for now you’ll want to bring your own neck fans if that’s something you need.

You can buy cooling towels though, so that’s a good option if you don’t have a neck fan.

2. Pepsi Products

Disney is all about the Coca Cola products. So if you love Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, or any other Pepsi products, you won’t be able to purchase them in Disneyland or Disney World.

If having one of these drinks at the theme parks is a must for you, then bring a can or two in your backpack. You can get a cup of ice from quick service restaurants and pour your drink over that to enjoy it cold.

3. Chafe Stick

When you’re at Disney, you walk a lot! Like more than going on a hike. Also, it’s usually hot.

You don’t want to get any chafing because that’s just miserable and you’d be uncomfortable for the rest of your trip.

The way to prevent this is to use a chafing stick or chafe balm. This is not something you can buy in the Disney parks though. So if you’re worried about chafing, then make sure to bring a chafing stick with you.

4. Gum

Disney does not sell gum in any stores in the parks or in their hotels. They strive to keep their properties very clean and we all know gum is hard to clean, so it’s a no no for Disney.

You can of course bring your own gum on your vacation, but I don’t recommend chewing it in the parks. If you’re going to, then please dispose of it in the garbage cans.

Your Turn

I'd love to hear from you! Have you tried buying these things? What things have you been unable to buy in a Disney park?
