Why aren't women furious! It's like watching a runaway train, however everyone sees they train and no one cares.
Women aren't crying out in protest, they're not going to the police, the government or anyone. The Ghana minister of Gender isn't making public statements, calling on men to treat women better or families to check on their woman and girls relationships.
Nothing, absolutely nothing is being done, on one day 2 women in Ghana were brutally murdered. One man decided to not only kill is lover but to kill her 8-year-old child with her.
One would assume this is where Lariba Zuweira Abudu, head of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection would step up to perform her job.

Today Ghana IGP, head of the Ghana police force posted the arrest of 4 men who were seen in a viral video sexually assaulting a woman. This more than likely wouldn't have happened if there wasn't a video that went viral. As women have been murdered, girls raped, without mention of police.
One video was shown of a ritual taking place after a man raped his 12-year-old sister in law. Ghana police posted no news of an investigation just a voodoo ritual posted on social media where the community slaughtered animals for this man.
This is happening in 2023, a world where a man can rape a 12-year-old and have a chief kill animals instead of police arresting him. This is insane from a country begging for tourists and investors to come live.
Murdering wives in Ghana has a long standing history, it's just being shown more and more in the media in 2023.
The majority of cases involved men who killed their wives on suspicion of infidelity; the next largest category involved men who murdered wives who threatened divorce or separation. The principal homicide and suicide methods were shooting with firearms, hacking with machetes, and stabbing with knives.
The findings of the study are discussed in relation to Ghana's patriarchal family system and ideology and present socioeconomic issues in the country. This study recommends further research on this subject in Ghana and other African countries. This is necessary to further an understanding of homicide-suicide as a phenomenon, as well as a necessary prelude to the development and implementation of effective preventive programs.
In African countries like Ghana where there aren't digital police records kept, nor are there lawful outcomes where the police follow through with taking cases to court.
In the most recent case in Ghana where the man hacked his wife to death for filing for divorce, the police have remanded the man back into custody as the family is wondering why the case isn't going to court. They want the man who not only murdered their daughter but hacked up her father to be sentence to jail time.

This violence against women is spilling over to teenaged girls, just 2 weeks ago a SHS (senior high school) girl was stabbed to death by her boyfriend. The boy ran and hid from police, Ghanians took to social media to blame the dead child. Claiming she was in high school, it was her fault because she shouldn't have had any boyfriend.
There were more than 30 comments claiming it was the girls fault for being killed. No one saw anything wrong with the boy following after the multiple men. Or following after a cultre where beating your woman is common practice. Instead a dead child will bare the blame of being murdered by yet another Ghanian male murderer.

It turned out to be 5 women in 3 weeks, all murdered by either a husband or a lover. All in the most brutal ways a human can imagine dying. This is Ghana.
