Slavery And The Death Of George Floyd.
No matter just keep going. One door close another open.

Slave is one of the words I do not use often, one of the words I use most of the time only in history class or history context. I woke up this morning and realize it is more than that. Let us start with women. In the article “Validation of the Profile of Female Sexual Function (PFSF) in Surgically and Naturally Menopausal Women” women lose the desire for sexual pleasure after undergoing menopause (Leonard Derogates, 2004). Sexual pleasure is important to men; therefore, women own the power not only by controlling our sexual desire, but we give birth. I recall when I was a child growing up, I often heard stories about women being abused physically, mentally, and emotionally, by their husband and yet remain in that relationship. I have not only heard I have witnessed it. I have witnessed women getting abused as a child, and most of the time settle for men that they did not want while they were still married to these men. I want us, women, you, me, and humanity to take a step back and examine men in our lives and use the death of George Floyd as a wake-up call. A wake-up call to take back your power back as a black man and use it in the right place. What I mean by that is instead of using it to abuse women because of your physical strength, use your power to bring freedom back to African American Community.
I am still questioning who designed the idea that women need to be a mother, because the last time I checked, a woman is stronger than a man mentally and emotionally. This is clear when “Naturally Healthy: Divine Priestesses of Okinawa ‘’ states that women take care of children stay home and do chores. Mostly all the roles and activities women perform in the article is present today and in other countries women do even more. However, this article also stated that men do the hard work from my point of view no that is not a fact and I have also consoled some research in psychology. Imagine women who play all these roles in addition to working and do what men do in a country like America. I want women to know their power. I want women to know you are the reason the world is here. Without you the world will not exist. You give birth to the world so why let the world control you. It is time for you, and I women to change. Once we change the world changes. I am not against giving birth, I am not against marriage I am also not against men being a leader. What I am against is the role assigned to women. Women you have the choice to do whatever you want. I am speaking from scientific research of how the body of a woman functions. Women body is different from men, since the day you are conceive to your mother womb you start producing eggs that are not ovulate until puberty. In addition, I am also speaking from experience growing up I have seen men married to women give birth to many children. He wakes up one day with another woman. I have witnessed women being abused. I have experienced abuse sexually, physically, and emotionally by men. However, I cannot deny there are great and wonderful men out there. I have also experienced that. However, 85 percent of the time men do not have the respect for women.
I must remind women that you get what you tolerate and that’s a part of losing your power because you experience bad things most of the time that you forget there are good men out there so you tell yourself if you stay a little longer he will change. That idea is a big no, it is ok to be alone as a matter of fact you were born alone there is always someone that will see your worth. Therefore, stop giving away your power and use it to change the world like George Floyd. I am waiting for the day women start to give themselves more credit and start doing more instead of staying home.
I will say this idea of 50/50 has come from being raised by both of my parents till the age 13 where I was only raised by men after my mother died. I can tell you that many men are ashamed of doing what women do in public for their child. This experience left me questioning a lot because women and men are equal in their own unique way. Both women and men have both gender traits, some expressed it more than others. Yes, women you run the world regardless of being married and having kids. I can share from experience my mother did not give her power away after she married my dad and that is why he knew how to take care of us after my mother died. I also know many examples from leaders like Michel Obama. She gives examples from her book of “Becoming Michel Obama ‘’ were she explained how she made her own choice to do more without being asked to. Also, like Oprah Winfrey who decided to not have children and family because of her experiences. Women it is your choice to have children, remember that and it is also your choice to be a mother after giving birth only if you want to.
Women stop baby-sitting your son they will not stay with you forever. Women again you own the power to run the world because how you raise your son matters. You have an influence in men world. I must also tell you that mental disorders exist, genetics make a difference in a person’s trait, environment where you raise your child matters for their psychological health. Therefore, you can be the best mother in the world and raise a son that you are ashamed to call your child, but as a mother you will never let no one know that. Lastly social pressure of discrimination specially in country like America influence your choice of neighborhoods and environment for your child.
Therefore, the freedom we are looking for starts with us women, once we change, our men will change so does the world. Own your power learn about yourself and do not let what you know about you being use against you, because it will happen, it has happened and will continue to happen. Take nothing personal. Remember as a slave we work in the field too and give birth on to doing home chores as a made in America now think about turning all that gender role around and teach your son it’s OK to do what women do. It’ s also OK for both men and women to do whatever. Lastly, empower other women instead of putting them down because I have experienced it. Knowledge is the new rich. I hated reading just like many of you but that is a fix mindset it was not a grow mindset and did not help me get nowhere. I invite you to join my workshop on July 18, check my Facebook page @lucnalie Jeal Jironvil, read my book and learn that anything is possible.
