Sexism: As It Shapes Girls' Lives
Sexism, as defined by Google, is the following: prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination, typically against women, on the basis of sex. Sexism is something we see all around us, day by day. As we grow up, we are subconsciously and consciously raised into a mindset that sexism is the norm.

The Meaning of Being a Girl
Being a girl can mean many things to different people. What I am writing about is how I feel about the way society sees us, and how they should really see us. Some people may not agree with me, but that's okay. As you read this I hope it opens your eyes to how things are going in our world today.

Being Silenced
It was my nineteenth birthday party, I was in college, and having the time of my life. I had a ton of friends there. We were dancing, singing, and drinking the night away. He was also there, the guy I’ve been talking to for about a week. I saw him staring at me the whole time. He had told me before that wasn’t really a dancer so I didn’t mind the staring. I mean, maybe I was trying to give him a show anyways. Dule* was tall, dark, and nothing I’ve ever had before. He was older, smarter, and I loved learning things from him; sometimes he even learned things from me. It was only a week of talking but it was long enough for us to get to know each other and have a bond. As much as we bonded, that didn't stop him that night. Neither did me being so drunk that I barely remember what happened that night.

Stealthing
It’s the end of the night and you’re date is going well. You head back to your place to see what might happen. After some drinks the evening heads to the bedroom. You agree to have sex with a condom as you don’t want to catch anything or become pregnant. Unknowingly to you, at sometime during sex the condom had been removed.

When You Feel Bad Because He's Nice. Top Story - December 2017.
I’m sure, at one point or another, we’ve all experienced the guilty sensation we get from not really liking someone even though they’re nice. If you’re someone like me (until very recently), you might not know what to do in these situations. I’ll admit, I’ve carried on week-long conversations, I’ve gone on dates, and I’ve even kissed someone because I felt bad rejecting the person because he was nice. I know more than a few women who’ve gone so far as sleeping with someone because they didn’t really see a way out of it without offending the guy and they didn’t want to do that because he was nice.

I'm Just Not Fun Anymore
As we grow up, we go through many stages of life, the good times and the bad, the hard times and the easy. And ultimately — the fun times, and the not so fun times. But if we're lucky enough, we find someone to share all of those experiences with. And hopefully, this person will be with you through the thick and thin, loving you for the person that you are. I really wish this for each and every one of you. And I also wish that throughout your life you'll be able to shut down bullshit propaganda ads like the one below from Durex.
