Media Lesbians
We've all seen the shows with the token lesbian couple, or even the lesbian best friend in the film; oh, I wish life was like a sitcom sometimes. Many a time I've heard, both through watching these or in real life, "I'm giving up on men, I'll just become a lesbian instead, it's much easier." It is not. It is stressful and sometimes sexually clumsy, just how I imagine it is for straight people. Believe me, I haven't forgotten or neglected the wider LGBTQ+ community; I'm just speaking on behalf of myself, a lesbian.

My Daughter
Sit down, kid. So, you’re going out? Anyplace fun? Sure. Look. I don’t want to make you nervous or anything like that. I know you’ve probably seen TV and you know that traditionally, this is the point in the evening where you’re supposed to come off respectful and I’m supposed to threaten your life.

The #MeToo Gift
#NoMoreShame I love that idea, that hashtag… I really do. Do you hear the “but” coming? BUT: I have an issue with the slogan I love, the slogan that I am living on the outside and trying to live on the inside. Is there really such a thing as #NoMoreShame?? Can it really be achieved? Things Women Should Know About Money When in a Relationship
Anyone who's known me for more than a couple of days can tell you that I'm a bit obsessed with two things: money and relationships. These two things seem totally unrelated, and if you're talking about a career, they usually are.

Masterpiece
Girls, we usually have it all figured out, right? Schedules printed and put to memory, Starbucks cups piping hot every morning, friendships solid, relationships sealed. We fight with our moms and stomp to our rooms when our dads make us go change out of our ridiculously cute outfits. It’s verbatim, it’s redundant, and it’s comfortable. We’re used to it.
