Here’s Why I Started Wearing Men’s Deodorant
We all need deodorant. We have to wear it to keep from smelling like a giant pool of nasty body odor. Remember the first time you were introduced to deodorant? “Here sweetie, rub this under your arm to keep from getting made fun of during gym.” For some people it was like a rite of passage. You finally were old enough to shave your legs, wear deodorant, and do your own hair. What an amazing time.

The Only Female Comic in the Room. Top Story - July 2018.
To the men that I share the stage with, know that I don't hate all of you. Some of you are very, very funny and I admire your work. I would even go as far as to say that I would be honored to collaborate with you someday, if you will have me of course. You know what? I think some of you are up there with George Carlin! Dave Chappelle! Bill Burr! Joan Rivers—oh, sorry, of course not... Steve Martin!

Why Is It so Important for Girls and Young Women to Have Positive Female Role Models?
How many people reading this have a younger sister, daughter, female cousin, etc, etc? Ever wondered who they look up too? For males it's relatively simple; David Beckham, Will Smith, Barack Obama, Elon Musk. Even though if you ask most lads under the age of 13 in 2018, none of these people will appear, you're probably looking more at a list that includes KSI, Ninja, or ChrisMD but that's just the "Age of YouTube".

My Menarche
I was 11 when I just started my period. But the problem was, I had no idea that I was having one. It happened at my grandma’s house. We were waiting for my parents to come home from an anniversary dinner when my grandma had me and my sister wash up for bed. She had my sister use the bathroom by the kitchen and she had me use the one near the office. She handed me a fresh towel and waited at the bathroom door to take away my clothes.

Plain Jane: A Classic Revisited
We all have that one book. The one we covet. Hold to our chests like a protective shield. Usually, it is the one filled with highlighted passages, dog-eared pages, or post-it notes stuck in what looks to others as random placement. But you know the truth. Those singled out pages contain words of wisdom and quotes you can probably recite from memory. They speak to you in your hour of need. You recite them to friends and family who need a boost of confidence, a reminder that life is messy, but will always offer some shine to those who seek it. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë is that book of choice for me. A personal favorite, it continues to touch me with its language and themes of independence as well as Jane's search for family and love.

Our Lives. My Decision
The day it started was the celebration of my mock trial team making it to the quarter finals. It was after school and everyone was so excited about our achievement and the fact that it was the last day till Thanksgiving Break. We had olive and sausage pizza with a cake for desert and a couple of chips and juices. The love and warmth was intense, but something didn't seem right.

Tatas or Nadas
Everyone latched onto their mother's boob at one point in time. But while some states allow breastfeeding to be publicly protected, the stigma is something that should be removed as well. Huffington Post published an article last year that said states like South Dakota and Virginia exempt woman who are breastfeeding from any public indecency charges or nudity violations. 47 of the 50 states allow women to breastfeed in public without any exemptions. But yet while those states allow public breastfeeding, there are some people who want them to do it in a spot where the boob and baby are out of sight.
