Wangari Maathai
Until 2004, most of the world did not know who she was but for the late Wangari Maathai this was her moment in the limelight to share what she was most passionate about: environmental activism as a Pan-African gateway to freedom. This was the year she became the first African female Nobel Peace Prize laureate for her contribution to sustainable development, democracy and peace. However, for those who followed Wangari’s journey, this award was a moment of recognition but the groundwork she laid was far more important hence why I chose her as a key inspirational woman to celebrate.

Spirit of Hope
Dear you, The sun is shining today and the wind is filled with a tinge of flourishing smell. It's spring! I remembered you used to play guessing game "Which season do you love most?" and your answer always was "winter". You said that because in a tropical country like Thailand, there is actually no such thing as winter.

The Desert Queen Inspired Me
As a strong woman I look up to other strong women who inspire me. My whole life I have been searching for a female role model who represented my rebellious and adventurous spirit and I finally found her. A woman who is both feminine, brave, strong and resilient, who doesn't fit in the boxes that society has created. saw myself through her spirit in life - Gertrude Bell.

The Blueprint - Women Who Inspire
My mind was like "wait, is this just one woman, because then this just got a lot more difficult." When my mind heard about a competition that involved women who inspire, it immediately started sprinting through all of the women in my life. Then, it started to sift through the women that might allow me to win this competition; "who is the woman that no judge could ever deny?" it said.

Survivor
Women are fighters. Today women are fighters and historically we have been fighters because we have had to be. Women of today don't have to fight for the same rights and freedoms that women before us did because of the inspirational and innovative actions of the brave women of history.

The Reluctant Shero
Many people think that being a leader is easy. It's not. You have to sit when others want to stand and stand when others want to sit. Most of all, as a leader, one has to lead with an empathetic heart because the masses are not filled with individuals of the same mind, experiences and abilities of one another. The competent leader knows that the masses are comprised of diverse individuals who could possibly grow together to have the same heart with just the right balance of guidance and support. No one ever really desires to jump into a position of true leadership (pregnant with obstacles and scrutiny), but when people of integrity rise to the occasion, it is a thing of divine grace and beauty. It oftentimes seems like these mighty people of valor are rare, yet I have been inspired by an individual who is exactly that type of person. She is my reluctant shero, Kanika Wellington-Jones.

Dear women
It makes me happy to write about Women who inspire, for days I’ve thought about it and it really made me pay attention to all the women I know including celebrities. I heard so many stories about great women, I’ve seen them happening, but I wanted to find out what are the qualities that make a woman be inspiring. Inspiring could be anything, even just a word at the right time. Sometimes it’s hard to listen to someone and empathize when you don’t know their whole story, and it’s the story that makes you inspired. You want to hear about all the struggles, all the barriers that she had to face, the accomplishments and moments of glory. But are those moments that we don’t often hear about, those secrets women had to keep quiet, and those tears that they had to swallow, that I really find inspiring.
