Will Hangman Page’s Championship Win Return Him to the Dark Side?
Could All In be the set up for a Hangman Page heel turn?

Hangman Page is AEW’s most popular babyface. The star is experiencing the biggest run of his career as he aims to become a 2x AEW World Champion. He’ll have a tough challenge when he faces Jon Moxley at All In on July 12th.
But with fan support and momentum on his side, Hangman is poised to dethrone Mox and become the new World Champion. This will be a full circle moment for Page, who’s been on a downward spiral since his first championship loss three years ago. He’s worked hard to climb his way back to the top and earn his shot at redemption.
All In could see Page become the biggest babyface as he finally takes down Mox and the Death Riders.
But it could also lead to another heel turn for the cowboy.
The Elite Factor
There’s going to be lots of interference in Mox and Page’s match at All In. The Death Riders will be in Mox’s corner, while Page will have Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland.
But the main people to keep an eye on are Hangman’s “former” friends The Young Bucks.
Although Matt and Nick Jackson seem to be in cahoots with Mox’s Death Riders group, the brothers might secretly be working with Page.
A backstage segment a few weeks ago hinted at a possible reunion with The Elite members. During a heated confrontation the Bucks mentioned something about “a plan” for Page’s championship. But Hangman vowed he’d never work with them again.
However, many aren't so certain.
Page’s alliance with the Bucks has been raising suspicions. At Dynasty, the Bucks kept Strickland from winning the World Championship and claimed they did it for Hangman. When Swerve later confronted Hangman about it, he proclaimed his innocence.
So, could Hangman and the Bucks be setting up for the biggest swerve in AEW history?
Hangman's Win Unleashes His Heel Turn
Page isn't the only one who has a lot to lose at All In. The Bucks have put their EVP titles on the line in a match against Page's new friends Ospreay and Strickland. If the Bucks lose, they'll have to give up their EVP titles. But if Ospreay and Strickland lose, then they can't challenge for the AEW World Championship for a year.
The outcome of this match along with Page vs. Mox will set up an intriguing storyline. If Ospreay and Strickland win their match, the first thing they'll want to do is go after the Championship. If Hangman win the title (with the help of his "friends"), then Ospreay and Strickland expect their new pal to give them a championship opportunity.
Page is a man of integrity and he'll undoubtedly give Ospreay and Strickland what they want. However, he also knows they're two of his toughest opponents and could easily beat him. Page doesn't want to lose his championship so soon after winning it, so he'll call in help from the Bucks.
Page's storyline has been built around his need to reclaim the AEW World Championship. Once he wins it, he'll be desperate to hold on to it because he doesn't want to go down a dark path again. But his championship win could have him turning heel as he resorts to drastic measures to keep the title.
Hangman has shown he's good a playing both a hero and a villain. He was a baby face during his first championship reign, so it'll be interesting to see him as a heel champion.
Fans have been behind Page in his long journey to recapture the World Championship, but will they still support him when he turns into a bad guy?
