A look at women's basketball talents

College basketball is in off-season mode but that doesn't mean we can't look back at the talent that made the 2021-22 season a success. Let's check out some of the women that you may or may not know but should on the hardcourt.

Jazmin Harris - North Carolina A&T

Jazmin Harris transferred to North Carolina A&T after competing for Charlotte during her first three collegiate seasons. Jazmin Harris had her best season as a scorer averaging 13 points per game. The 6-3 center from McLeansville, North Carolina had three games with 20 points or more. Her highest scoring game of the season was when she posted 24 points against Radford. Two games later she scored 23 points on 10-13 shooting in a win over Presbyterian. Harris earned 32 of her career 101 shots last season. She blocked a season high three shots on four occasions. One of those games was a double-double performance when she had 21 points and 12 rebounds in a close win against Gardner-Webb. She scored double digits in each of her final eight games of the season.

Taya Corosdale - Oregon State (Duke Transfer)

Over her career at Oregon State, Taya Corosdale was a stretch forward who was a reliable rebounder that became a bit of shot blocking threat at the end of her run. The 6-3 native of Bothell, Washington averaged a career best 1.1 rejections per game last season. She blocked four shots on two occasions last season, the first was during an season opening win over Loyola Marymount. The second came against PAC-12 rival Oregon where she scored 15 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and passed out five assists. Corosdale had six games with 10 or more rebounds. In 121 games at Oregon State, Corosdale scored posted 726 career rebounds. She also made 122 three-pointers. Her best season from long distance was in 2020-21 when she nailed 39.7 percent of her triples. Corosdale will compete for Duke during the 2022-23 season.

Eden Johnson - Georgia Southern

Eden Johnson is a 6-2 forward at Georgia Southern. The Kissimmee, Florida native got off to a strong start last season posting two double-doubles in her first three games. She scored 10 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, blocked four shots and three steals in the season opening win against SEC opponent Auburn. In the third game of the season Johnson posted 13 points, 12 rebounds, one block and a steal in another win over Florida International. Her scoring high of the season came when she put up 19 points against Gardner-Webb. That was the team's most exciting game of the season as it won 121-105. Johnson's minutes weren't the most consistent as she had 11 starts in 25 games, averaging just 17.3 minutes per contest. She also averaged 5.7 points and 4.6 rebounds for the season.

Sania Wells - Auburn

Auburn's Sania Wells averaged a career best 9.1 points per game last season. The 5-6 guard from Moss Point, Mississippi started the season with 19 points, six rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals against Georgia Southern. Wells had her lone 20-point game of the season against Missouri. She collected three steals on three occasions. One of those came in an upset victory over No. 4 Tennessee, as she had 13 points, shooting a perfect 6-6 from the free-throw line. Wells was an exceptional free-throw shooter last season as she hit 90.5 percent of her free-throws. She hit 76 of her 84 attempts from the charity stripe. In a victory against North Florida, Wells went a perfect 8-8 from the free-throw line which was her best performance of the year.
