The Man That WWE Can't Live Without
Released from his contract, a public outcry unlike WWE's seen in years, and a surprising return. All within a week, WWE fans may be getting what they've wanted for a while, a little more R-Truth!

The man at the center of it all. R-Truth, real name Ron Killings, recently became the subject of conversation as World Wrestling Entertainment planned another round of cuts. Because of some apparent internal communications failures, it's all still tough to tell if this was an elaborate plan by WWE to create some heat or buzz, and push R-Truth into the limelight. Some would say, and rightfully so, that it is long overdue.
The announcement was leaked online that R-Truth was being let go, or by their terms, his contract was not being renewed. Everything's so open now that it takes hours for something like that to spread across the internet, especially in the world of professional wrestling/sports entertainment. And while Truth isn't alone in being released, or not being retained by the company, Truth may have been the straw that broke the camel's back.
Is there a more widely loved, always entertaining, and genuinely fun guy in the WWE? With a cast of dozens of entertaining characters inside World Wrestling Entertainment's stable of wrestling legends and performers, Truth i,s beyond a doubt, one of the best and a future hall of famer. Fans who have watched over the past twenty years can certainly attest to his charisma, his athletic ability, his performances, and his ability to work the crowd and work the mic.
Truth is a consummate professional and master of his craft, but by all the metrics of success, has he been the most successful? He's been a US Champion, Tag Team Champion, and a multiple-time 24/7 champion, which adds up to holding more titles than nearly, if not everyone in the company's history. And with an empassioned and loyal fanbase, who knows what they want to see, WWE created a backlash, not to be confused with the premium live event of the same name.

Gone and Back
From a Monday Night Raw on Netflix, to NXT, and Smackdown, the WWE bosses, Nick Khan and Triple H (Paul Levesque), heard the entire universe and what they wanted. WWE was unable to produce a show that didn't include the loud and proud chants, "We Want Truth!"
Questions abounded on the internet. Why would they let a genuinely talented, entertaining, and multi-faceted performer go on to other things? There are other companies that would have snapped Truth up, and then Ron Killings would have been All Elite or entered the Action Zone.
Was it all a part of a maniacal plan, put together by the WWE creative team, and the current two power players inside the company? On social media, multiple sources have said no. The news has been that Truth was released, and that it was about money. And if that's the case, the fan outrage brought back the man once referred to by HHH and Roman Reigns as WWE's resident vampire. Truth still moves like his in his 20s, after all, and it's a testament to something considering his well into his 50s.
At the recent Money in the Bank PPV, John Cena and Logan Paul faced off with the team of Main Event Jey USO and Cody Rhodes. Just as Cena, now a heel performer if you've missed the transformation, was about to ram the WWE title into Cody's skull, he was jumped by a man in a black hoodie and dark pants. All we knew for a moment was that it was a black performer as his hoodie rode up and showed some skin color.
Once the job was done, it came time for the big reveal, and our hero had returned. R-Truth, or Ron Killings, was back!
Insider News
Sources are saying that R-Truth's WWE exit was legitimate, and his return was not a storyline. Multiple sources confirmed that Truth didn't respond to earlier attempts by the company, but once the CEO of WWE stepped in, Nick Khan turned the tables on the story of Truth's sad departure. Having just come off of a program with John Cena, where Truth was derailed from what should have been a win and the biggest pop in WWE history, it would seem that Ron Killings is headed for a showdown with the 17-time world champion.
Finally!
Fans would literally lose their minds to see R-Truth/Ron Killings be the one to dethrone John Cena during Cena's last dance tour with the WWE. Cena is in his final run with WWE before retiring at the end of the year, and while some call him the greatest of all time, or the GOAT, others would enjoy seeing Truth dethrone him before Cena can make good on his threat to "ruin wrestling" and take the championship home with him.
Whatever the plan is for R-Truth/Ron Killings, educated minds in the fanbase are going to think this was all planned because there's already Ron Killings merch in the WWE Shop Zone. But, how long does it really take to have a T-shirt put together when you are a multi-billion-dollar, global juggernaut in sports entertainment? Not long.
They've done such a good job that we may never know the real story behind what happened with R-Truth. But could that lead to an R-Truth/Ron Killings championship run before his eventual end with WWE, does happen? In WWE, anything is possible. They are, after all, the biggest circus in America.
