People say that defense wins championships. And that extends to college football. Some of these players would go on to become stars in the NFL or busts. This only shows the value of what a great team can do. Even coaches like Nick Saban who have coached dominating college football teams couldn't find the same success in the NFL. Nevertheless, they were legends at their respective schools and institutions. Here's the top defenses in college football history.

Biggest College Bowl Game Upsets Ever
First introduced in the 1902 Tournament East-West football game, wherein Michigan clobbered Stanford 49-0, the Rose Bowl would then on take form over their years of continued bouts, next witnessed in the 1916 Tournament East-West Football Game and then given its official title in the 1923 game played in their newly-rendered Rose Bowl stadium. While the iteration of the "bowl" game then took root due to this new shape of the facility, not all of the games would be played in bowl-shaped stadiums as the title appropriates. Interestingly, the initial bowl games took place starting in warmer climates and easier areas of traversal. This meant that states like Texas, South California, and Florida were all among original bowls, and since commercial air travel had yet to make a lasting effect until the 1970s and 1980s, much of these games were played well beyond the regular season so fans could make the travel.

With the recent acquisition of former Seattle Seahawk Michael Bennett, Howie Roseman has once again proved to be one of the best (if not THE best) general managers in the NFL. Bennett will be 33 years old in November, but is coming of an eight and half sack season and should be able to perform at a high level in 2018, especially with the Eagles depth at the position. Yes.... to go ahead and answer your questions and address your fears and concerns of your child playing football at a young age; it is possible to have a safe, enjoyable, and learning experience without any major injuries. As adults, we have to understand that when anyone is playing any kind of sport, or really anyone, they the potential to suffer injuries. The best thing we can do and parents can do for their child is preparing for it.

The Mixed Emotions Following the Eagles Super Bowl Victory
The Philadelphia Eagles won Super Bowl LII (that's 52, for those of us who stopped using Roman numerals long ago). For a city that sports some of the most diehard fans (and we really do our best to diehard, for our teams), it's a dream almost six decades in the making. The Philadelphia football team hasn't won a championship since before the Super Bowl was a thing and, believe me, fans in this town know how to suffer, though we never do it in silence.

Five Things We Want From the XFL
The XFL is making a comeback like a zombie from The Walking Dead. Instead of infecting you with a deadly virus, the XFL is looking to infect you with patriotism and love for football. Vince McMahon's new project aims to take some of the viewers that the NFL has been losing over the last couple of years. Protests, changes to the rules & politics have discouraged some fans from watching the NFL. One of the ways that McMahon looks to vulture some of these fans is to "eliminate" politics from football. In the new XFL, the players will be required to stand for the National Anthem & any type of protest will be done on the player's personal time. This, making the game faster, & fan participation are some of the changes that McMahon promises that would make football great again. I’m Sorry, the Washington Redskins Did What?
"...I believe it was Socrates who said: 'I drank what?'"- Val Kilmer as Chris Knight in Real Genius. That quote ran through my head as I heard the news that the Washington Redskins and Kansas City Chiefs had agreed to a deal that would send QB Alex Smith to D.C. in exchange for CB Kendall Fuller and a third-round pick. I just could not fathom why a team like the Redskins, with a pretty capable signal-caller in Kirk Cousins destined for a mega-deal this offseason, would just up and move on.
