Three Lingering Questions About the Fundamental Approach to Destiny 2
On May 18 Bungie debuted its sequel to its successful, popular title Destiny in the form of Destiny 2. Being a major Destiny fan and with it the game I have spent the most time on since my Call of Duty days, I was extremely excited to see what they had in store for us. I was very happy with the results. Bungie has taken a fundamental approach to rebuilding the game from the ground up, and it shows.

Wonder Woman Is the Hero We Need
*SPOILERS FOLLOW, OBVIOUSLY. Nearly every comic book movie these days has some sort of ancient/cosmic being trying to destroy the world/universe. Wonder Woman is no different, as it presents the god of war, Ares, as its villain who wants to end humanity. There’s a simple reason for this: these movies represent our real-life, current sociopolitical climate. There is a constant fear of the world ending due to forces seemingly completely out of our control.

We Need to Talk About ‘American Gods’ Latest Opening Scene
Nearly every week, ‘American Gods’ has presented the audience with a “Coming to America” scene to open the episode. These scenes have shown various groups of people, all throughout time, attempting to make their way into America. This week’s latest scene, however, shows the first modern day equivalent of people coming into America.

The Supernatural Aspect of Season 3 of ‘Fargo’ has been Revealed
So far, every season of Fargo has had a supernatural element. These supernatural elements typically appear near the climax of the season, affecting and altering the characters and plot in critical ways. ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’: White Feminism as a Show
The Handmaid’s Tale suffers from one glaring issue, which is the one everyone seems to be talking about — its lack of intersectionality. Yes, it is important to cast POC, non-cis, and non-hetero actors. But you have to actually use them. If The Handmaid’s Tale’s excuse is that it’s “post-racial,” et al, pardon my French, but that’s utter bull.

Destiny 2: Why the Community is Upset
There’s been a lot of hoopla and outrage surrounding Destiny 2 post E3. The focus has particularly been on the decision making by Bungie, the developer of Destiny and Destiny 2, regarding this game. (Note, I’m not going to discuss why some people are calling the game “Destiny 1.5”)

Game of Thrones: Stormborn Review
*SPOILERS AHEAD* Looks like Game Of Thrones is setting up all the pieces again — HOLY CRAP, WHAT JUST HAPPENED? Seriously, what?! I expected a Battle of the Greyjoy’s at some point, but not so early in the season. And what a gruesome, terrific battle it was. Yara and Theon got their butts handed to them by their uncle Euron, who very easily destroyed their entire fleet? Maybe? It looks like the Iron Fleet has been completely eradicated, which puts a huge dent in Daenerys’ plan to win the Iron Throne.

Destiny 2 Beta Impressions: They Really Meant a World Without Light
Earlier this week, the closed beta for Destiny 2 launched. In a frenzy, I tried repeatedly to get in when the server went live. I kept getting kicked out over and over again. Finally, after a half hour of trying, I got in. And what I saw was glorious.

‘Game Of Thrones’ ‘The Queen’s Justice’ Review
‘The Queen’s Justice’ was jam-packed with events that will cause monumental impact on the show going forward. Let’s start with the end first. Jamie, using a trick a used from dearly departed Robb Stark, diverted the grunt of his army to Highgarden and attack the Tyrells. It’s a brilliant, tactical move that shows both Jamie and Cersei’s wit.
