Best Fireworks
This team needs no introduction to the world of Major League Baseball. For thirty years the people and the city and county of Denver fought to bring a professional baseball team to the Mile High City. In 1991, Major League Baseball rewarded the city with an expansion franchise That would be called the Colorado Rockies. Their first game would not be played for two years yet, but there was already excitement building around the team. With the ownership group of the Monfort Brothers and Gerry McMcmorris, we had a busy two years ahead.

Randy Johnson's Perfect Game
I was recently asked what I thought was one of the great feats in baseball. Now that is hard to judge because there were so many. But as an old pitcher, I guess I am partial to pitching performances that are above and beyond the normal every day on the mound and sometimes bring back memories of my own glory days on the mound.

A Friend Comes Home
The Federal Express delivery arrived from New Jersey. My heart was beating fast and, as I opened the box and saw my old friend, I’m not embarrassed to say that my eyes welled up with tears. It’s been almost 50 years since I last saw my friend and I really never thought about seeing it again, except maybe in a photo.

Stealing Signs
Stealing Signs was once an Art In the last couple of years, there has been a lot of controversy over sign stealing by the Houston Astros and the New York Yankees. You can bet your life that all the other teams in MLB have also stolen signs using technology and may still be doing it.

Encounter With Yogi
When I learned that the Baseball Hall of Fame Tour was coming to Albuquerque I knew I had to check it out. As part of my Bucket List Tour, I visited the Hall in Cooperstown with my oldest brother in 2011. This time I visited the Tour with my oldest son. The tour itself was an impressive display of artifacts combined with virtual reality technology that put you right at the ballpark.

Baseball Rule Changes
Every year we hear of changes to the rules of baseball that are being pondered by the forces that be. The year 2021 is no different than every other year, lately. In my opinion, the game is fine the way it is and those that think the game needs to be sped up cannot really claim to be baseball fans at all. After all, the more baseball I can get the happier I am.

Dr. Michael Estes | Seven awesome tips that will help you get better at baseball
Once again, a warm welcome to all, all my favorite people! I am Dr.Michael Estes, an all-time father, a seasoned physician, owner of Intessa Okemos, a loving husband, a boat restoration enthusiast, a dog lover, and as well a baseball specialist. I love baseball with all my soul and a burning passion for pitching and hitting balls up in the sky. My friends and I have spent most of our academic years religiously admiring baseball as a sport, fangirling about our favorite pitchers, and worshipping NYC! (NYC has a special place in my heart!) The people in my friend circle and I used to mostly spend our free time on either the stairs or the field. When we were pursuing my bachelor's from the very prestigious California State University, Long Beach, in 1999, the readers who know who have read my previous blog probably know about coach Michael Shawn. He used to really push us to our limits and encourage us with his pitching stories. My roommates and I were regular attendees of his everyday practice sessions and soon got into playing baseball for our team.
