Diogo Jota: A Legacy Etched in Passion and Perseverance
Diogo José Teixeira da Silva, better known by his stage name Diogo Jota, was born in Massarelos, a neighborhood in Porto, Portugal, on December 4, 1996. For Jota, football was more than simply a game from an early age; it was his life. In keeping with his modest upbringing and his family's efforts, he started his career at Gondomar SC, a minor club close to his hometown where he had to pay to play. His coaches saw something unique even then, though. He was mature above his years, possessed amazing footwork, and had a keen eye for goal. He made his professional debut at Paços de Ferreira in 2014 after scoring 39 goals in a single season at the age of 16. Spanish powerhouse Atletico Madrid saw Jota's quick ascent and signed him in 2016. However, he went on loan to FC Porto, where he honed his attacking skills, rather than making his debut for the La Liga team. But what really altered his professional path was his loan to Wolverhampton Wanderers in England in 2017. Jota flourished in the brutal and rugged English Championship. He was a fan favorite because of his vigor, tenacity, and adaptability. He scored 17 goals and helped Wolves be promoted to the Premier League. He was permanently signed by Wolves a year later. Jota thrived in England's top division rather than merely adjusting to it. He became one of the league's most underappreciated forwards, whether it was by destroying large clubs or scoring hat-tricks in the Europa League

I Was The Coolest Big Kid for a Day
Baseball: it's one of those sports that many of us fans are passionate and romantic about. Home runs, outstanding catches, and walk-off wins. Back in mid-March on a warm Saturday afternoon, I had an opportunity to take part in an exciting event. I was among the few dozens of people who took part in a batting practice event at Arvest Ballpark, home of the Minor League's Northwest Arkansas Naturals. For context, I never played any sports in school, because I was shy and severely bullied. The closest thing to me playing sports was being in PE classes. My favorite sports I enjoyed the most in PE class was basketball, indoor kickball, and dodgeball. The latter sport has since been taken out of schools, because many people have said it encouraged bullying. I found that claim laughable and ridiculous, because it seems like some people, not all, like to take the fun out of everything. This was an example of this is why we can't have nice things.
