3 Takeaways from Duke's 118-84 Domination of Kentucky in the 2018 Champions Classic . Top Story - November 2018.
The 2018-2019 Duke Blue Devils basketball season is underway as they took on the second ranked Kentucky Wildcats in the Champions Classic. There has been a lot of hype for the Blue Devils this season, especially surrounding the top ranked incoming freshman class that has four top 20 recruits, including the top 3 overall. The most hype and excitement was for Zion Williamson who is well known for his dunking abilities. Let's just say that Zion as well as the entire Duke Blue Devils team did not disappoint. Here are my top 3 takeaways from this opening game:

Week 10 NFL Picks Against the Spread
There is a ton going on in the world of sports. NBA season is in full effect and has ton of juicy story lines (Warriors are ridiculous, LeBron drama, the Raptors with and without Kawhi Leonard are so legit, Giannis etc); the NHL season as well. Additionally, college football is getting close to its playoff and the standings are constantly changing (except for Alabama who just kicks the shit out of everyone they play; its like clockwork). And then there was college basketball's opening night last night which featured many top ten teams and most importantly the debut of the Duke super freshman RJ Barrett, Cam Reddish, and Zion Williamson, who looks like a cross between Charles Barkley and a member of the X-Men—my goodness. Those three kids are, in all likelihood, going to be three of the top five picks in the upcoming NBA draft.

Not Sure Which Martial Art to Choose?
With all the UFC hype that has been happening over the past few years it seems everyone wants to be a MMA fighter. It is the same now like it was back in the 70's when Bruce Lee came onto the scene. Everyone wanted to practice Kung Fu! I have practiced martial arts for around 20 years now and I have learned a few things that should help you decide what art you would best at. I would like to help direct you to a style that you can excel in and possibly open your eyes to new arts you never even knew existed!

What's Wrong with the LA Lakers?
The Los Angeles Lakers haven't been the team everyone expected them to be ten games into the new season. After signing LeBron James in the offseason along with a number of veterans, the Lakers are sitting at 4-6, 11th in the western conference. The Lakers have played mediocre basketball and now that has people wondering if they can even make the playoffs. What or who is to blame for the Lakers' slow start? Could these issues be resolved before it's too late?

Are the Steelers Contenders or Pretenders?
Ah yes it is that time of year again and I’m not talking about the holiday season, I am talking about second half football. With the 23-16 defeat over the Baltimore Ravens Sunday, the Steelers stayed atop the AFC North. The Steelers have been hot lately. Offense and defense are finally complimenting each other on the field and the “Fire Tomlin,” crowd seems to be hiding. Have the Steelers done enough to be contenders?

How to Watch NHL Games
The NHL has been around for over 101 years. A lot has changed over the years! Back in 1917, when the NHL started, there were only four teams in the league. It wasn't very popular, and they were all Canadian teams. Oddly enough, one team has survived from that inaugural season: the Montreal Canadiens.

Betting on a Zombie!
When you speak of UFC featherweights, you instantly think of Conor McGregor but with Irishman now demanding mega purses the show must go on. Luckily the UFC has a roster stacked with talent at the 145 lb limit as is proof with Saturday's upcoming main event. Chan Sung Jung looks to continue his winning streak after knocking out Daniel Bermudez in one round. The South Korean is super exciting and has already shared the cage with Jose Aldo going four rounds with the Brazilian before being stopped due to punches. Going that far with the legendary South American is pretty impressive and just shows the durability of the South Korean. He probably has the craziest nickname in the game being known as "The Korean Zombie."

Are You Seeing What I'm Seeing?
As dynamic as the NBA is, there are certain things we expect to remain true from season to season: the Golden State Warriors will be the best team, LeBron James will be the best player, and the Phoenix Suns will continue to be an embarrassment to the sport of basketball. All these things have held true this year, though many teams and individuals are coming after the Warriors and LeBron, respectively. However, the NBA is a very dynamic league, each season featuring its share of surprises. This year, the surprises have been taken to another extreme as there has been so much change league-wide. From fast to slow starts for teams and players to trends around the association, this 2018-2019 sure has gotten off to an interesting opening.

Best Basketball Shooting Equipment
Scientists agree that it takes about 10,000 hours of practice to master a skill. That is 10,000 hours of dribbling a basketball, shooting hoops, or agility training in order to live up to your greatest potential. Even at a professional level, players seek sports training, enduring hours of practice to build their stamina and heighten their strengths. While basketball is one of the most popular sports in the world, being showcased to millions of people and recognized as an Olympic sport, these professionals were only able to get there through years of basketball training.
