“One More Time”
So, a little background. I’m a pretty clumsy person. I seem to always end up breaking bones or tearing ligaments. I’m also pretty stubborn when it comes to sitting out in sports. Now you're wondering what that has to do with anything, but it will be useful when you read this. So, when I was back in elementary school, we went on a ski trip every year from third grade until you went to high school. In my eighth-grade year, I was at the ski resort and originally been snowboarding (had to be different from everybody). I switched to ski’s an hour before we had to leave so I could go down the same mountain as my friends. Now, remember, this wasn’t my first year skiing. I was going to go in for a drink and snack, but my friend begged me to go one more time.

Lee Morris Is Oklahoma's Unheralded TD Tycoon
It seems Sooner Nation is ecstatic about the talent Oklahoma has on the offensive side of the football—as they should be. CeeDee Lamb is a contender for the 2019 Biletnikoff Award. Grant Calcaterra had an unforgettable one-handed TD against Texas. Charleston Rambo provided a glimpse of hope against Alabama. Jadon Haselwood, Theo Wease, and Trejan Bridges are among the most talented incoming freshmen in the country (Austin Stogner was also one of the most highly coveted tight ends in the 2019 recruiting cycle); to say nothing of Mykel Jones (2016) and Jaquayln Crawford (2018), who were highly touted four star recruits in their respective cycles. Someone is missing though ... Oh yeah, the former walk-on, no-star recruit, Lee Morris.

What D'Angelo Russell's Rise Means for the Brooklyn Nets
If any team has caught the attention of the National Basketball Association, along with its fanbase, the Brooklyn Nets are definitely one of them. After the all-star break, they find themselves in the middle of a rather tight playoff race at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. They have been playing well this season, bringing an intensity to every game. Usually, that intensity they play with is what pushes them over the edge and allows them to win these games. Another reason could be the career year being put together by their all-star point guard D'Angelo Russell. But with big decisions regarding their cap room, Russell's rise gives the Nets more questions than answers.

Why Paul George Could Actually Be This Year's MVP
Russ was fouled out, it was double overtime, and time was low. Paul George was against Joe Ingles and made a decisive move to the basket. Stepping through Ingles and Ricky Rubio, George floated the ball over 7-footer Rudy Gobert and sinks the game-winning shot. It was then that I knew. He could become the MVP of the NBA. In a year where Giannis is dunking in the NBA, and Harden is frying his foes into a chef special, PG-13 is playing like he is a man on a mission in a gritty rated-R film. And after the all-star break, Paul George now has an understanding of his role in OKC and has the perfect star teammate in Russell Westbrook. And with the when peaking at the right time is crucial to winning, George is hitting his peak, right on time.

How to Improve Your Jump Shot
Although I am a huge fan of basketball, at 5'9" and with a vertical jump of a penguin, I'm not necessarily a "menace" on the court. However, I have managed to alter that stigma recently, thanks to a much-improved jump shot. In fact, if it wasn't for my jump shot, I probably wouldn't be able to stay on the court. Now that people have to play up on my shot, I can make up for my lack of athleticism/handles. When you're not the tallest person on the court, having a solid jump shot is a gamechanger.

Things You Might Need to Understand About Color Guard
When people ask, do you start off with telling them you’re in marching band or do you jump straight in with explaining that you’re in color guard? There are so many people that as soon as those two words fall from your lips, they get a glazed look of confusion in their eyes. Personally, I always explained it as performing along side the band on the field. I think it took my parents a good two years to truly understand what I was doing everyday after school and on Saturdays.
