See you at Sirocco
I’m taking the time to write this article for a number of reasons. The main one being that I love this course, I’m going into my fourth season at Sirocco and I couldn’t be more excited, Especially with how the last few months have been going. Even if I didn’t work at Sirocco, I’d still be speaking highly of the course and all the things they do exceptionally well.

Winning with Jasmyn Allen
Jasmyn Allen is a winner. In 2019, we saw this young lady competing for the University of Akron at the Jesse Owens Classic in Columbus, Ohio. She gritted out wins in her respective heats in the 100-meter dash and hurdles. At the end of the year we uploaded a video of Allen competing at the previously mentioned meet on YouTube and by January of 2020, it had over one million views.

This week we focused on calls that involve a certain level of judgment and application of philosophy. The simple answer is always I need to see this to rule on it, but part of the fun with plays like these is going down all of the rabbit holes. I highly recommend going through these plays with your crew or a group of officials to get a different perspective.

Former Student Athlete and Fordham Women’s Basketball Staff Member Helps Build Basketball Court for At Risk Girls in Eswatini, Africa
Photo by : Samantha Ferrara With a mom who was a basketball coach, Clare Berenato was obviously drawn to the sport and played to a pretty high level Seton Hill University in Pennsylvania. Over the years, the student/athlete came to understand that basketball serves as pretty good teacher in areas like communication, teamwork, and building community. So when the Women's Basketball Director of Administration at Fordham got the chance to volunteer for a nonprofit called Play BOLD and take part in building a basketball court for marginalized girls in Eswatini (Swaziland), the decision was an easy slam dunk. But regardless of the wide range of possibility sports provide in terms of academics and life lessons, she prefers to narrow the purview of the June 2019 installation at Hosea’s Heart.

Andy Dalton signs with the Dallas Cowboys
On Saturday, recently released quarterback Andy Dalton signed a one year deal with the Dallas Cowboys reportedly worth $7 million, according to Adam Schefter. Dallas is in need of a back up that could step in right away and Dalton would be a great fit. This also prevents the New England Patriots from getting a starting quarterback.
