Did Kansas City make the right move?
Now don’t take this the wrong way, I think that Patrick Mahomes is one of the best quarterbacks in the game today. He has shown that time and again, hell he didn’t even let being down 24-0 in the Wildcard round of the playoffs stop him. I’m talking about this from a logistical standpoint for the Kansas City Chiefs. Mahomes 10 year extension for $503 million with $447 million guaranteed. While those numbers are insane, why does Mahomes deserve that much of the money? First let’s look at Mahomes stats over the past two years that he has played.

It's Time For the 'Washington Redskins' to Change Their Name
I am once again calling for the NFL team that represents Washington D.C. to change their names, as their current nickname is hateful and insulting to the Native American Community. According to Esquire, the term for ‘redskin’ is "The scalped head of a Native American that is sold for cash.” This epithet has been commonplace since 1755 in the Phips Proclamation which called for bounties on Native Indians near Maine. Today, we do not realize the disgusting history of the bounty placed on their lives for which 'redskin' was first coined. Native groups have been calling for a change for decades & it is time to finally comply.

Cultural Spotlight - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
You cannot fully enjoy a culture until you dabble in or learn about its martial arts if that culture has them available. From Karate in Japan to Kung Fu in China, most martial arts are thought to be of Asian origin but that is not always the case. A growing and popular martial art can be found in Brazil known as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. While Jiu Jitsu or Judo originated in Japan and was meant more for fighting and hand to hand combat, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is more focused on grappling and submission in terms of being victorious.

Mt. Vernon Native Compiles Sports Heroes and Legends from his Hometown
Mark Twain obviously went to some pretty exotic places as a writer, but the American legend never forgot how his humble beginnings shaped his entire life. “All the me in me is from that tiny little town in Missouri," once said the sage. For his part, Bruce Fabricant knows the feeling. The unleashing just took longer for Fabricant to commit to paper. So now on his fourth Mount Vernon based book, he hopes his hometown feels as good about reading the latest offering as he did writing it.

Golf Rangefinder vs Golf GPS – Best Choice for Golfers
There was a time when only professional golfers could have proper access to the exact distance to the next flag. This was possible with the help of a yardage book. On the other hand, regular golfers had to be happy with the yardages that were stamped on various white stakes and sprinkler heads on a golf course. Thankfully, those days have become history. Today, golfers can use laser rangefinders and GPS to find out about the exact yardage to the next golf flag. There are various devices that come with GPS facilities. These include smartphones and smartphones.

Temper the Hate
The 2020 year is apparently the year of “the unexpected”. At least that’s what it seems like up until this point. As we are all well aware, COVID is the culprit in this widespread disruption to all phases of life with many wishing to return to “normalcy”. I’m sure the virus’s influence will not disappear when it comes to baseball as the pandemic continues to spread here in the United States. Yet, we have been blessed with good news this week; MLB and specifically Rob Manfred announced that baseball would resume on July 23rd.
