Basketball Mount Rushmore
I've always found it interesting that basketball is always the one sport where your "Mount Rushmore" comes up, especially since there are pretty much 3 givens. I guess more often than not people ask because they want to see who your 4th choice is and why you left off said person. I'm gonna really irritate some people today, completely unintentionally. I swear.

Negative Effects of Youth Sports
A Summary Review of Research: Sport sociologist James Frey conducted and collected research that has exposed the truth about sport socialization, and what stands out most is how sport has influenced youth. Many parents get their children involved in sport, because they believe it will teach them good values and character traits such as, leadership, self-discipline, and integrity, but Frey asserts there is little evidence to support this common myth. Stanley Eitzen, another influential sport sociologist, writes an expose regarding what he calls ‘the darker side of competition’ in which he argues that the longer someone plays sport, the more likely they are to have poor morals, because coaches often encourage cheating and other unethical behaviors. When reviewing the following articles, Sport and Society (Frey), Ethical Dilemmas in American Sport (Eitzen), NFL: Dodging the Concussion Discussion (Deford), State of Play (The Aspen Institute Project Play), Parents’ Perceptions of Child-to-Parent Socialization in Organized Youth Sport (Dorsch, Smith, McDonough), The Sanctity of Sunday Football (Hartmann), and ESPN’s Sportcenter: Socialization of America’s Athletes, Coaches and Workers (Aicinena), there is an obvious common theme among all of these articles which is that there is great potential for harm of children within youth sport, not only physical harm from injuries, but psychological harm as well. However, now that we have become aware of these issues, sport sociologists say it’s time for us to take action and create positive changes; they stress the significance of improving youth sport so that we can ensure that children have positive experiences that will encourage them to be engaged in physical activity throughout their lifespan.

Track & Field 2k21: Tennessee Relays Saturday Recap
As we entered the second day of the Tennessee Relays, we thought that it would be a balance between the second and third day of events. Due to an expected rough day of weather on Sunday, many of that day's events were squeezed into Saturday's schedule. While the day went a little longer than expected, the University of Tennessee's athletic department and staff did as smooth as possible of a job in making things work. Here's a look at some of the news of Saturday's festivities.

Undertaker WrestleMania dream match
This weekend (at the time of this article being published) is the first WrestleMania since the Undertaker's official retirement in 2020. So I got to thinking of a wrestler who unfortunately never got their chance to wrestle The Deadman at WrestleMania. As a quick refresher Taker retired with a record of 25-2, only having lost to Brock Lesnar 2014 and Roman Reigns in 2017. However in my bizarro world The Streak hasn't been broken yet, and this dream match will replace Roman's match from 2017. Will The Streak eventually be broken in this world? Maybe, but also maybe not. However The Streak still being intact is important to this booking.

The Top 10 Most Popular WWE Wrestlers
10.Shawn Michaels He is HBH, The Heartbreak Kid. He was introduced as “The Showstopper” and “The Headliner.” He was part of Degeneration X with Triple H. He was athletic and inspired, which is even more amazing considering that he almost retired in 1998 with two herniated discs. Though he was involved in controversies like “The Montreal Screwjob” that victimized Bret Hart, Michaels has acquitted himself well with his all around entertainment and skills. His signature move was his “Sweet Chin Music.”

Who has the worst fans?
I will try to be a non-bias as possible. Being that I am a born and raised West Coast girl and whether I am watching the sports media from all over the country or games with fans, I must say that I do feel that East Coast sports teams as well as their fans have a more notorious history. People in the East Coast take sports very seriously. It is not to say that the West Coast doesn’t take it seriously as well or have crazy fans, however I do not hear as many stories about fan bases and traditions like I do in the East Coast.

BOWLING FOREVER
Bowling is one of the games in the world that families can enjoy without worrying about hurting someone. It is a great getaway thing that you can plan with your friends and family in your local bowling alley to enjoy a friendly game along with your favorite beverages. Another great thing about bowling is that there is no age limit on who can play and who cannot. A kid who can lift and throw the ball along the line to strike the pins is qualified to play without any issue.
