There's a New 'Skip'-per in Town
The title of this story was no pun intended, but very creative at the same time. Anyway, the Texas Rangers not being in the playoffs isn't anything new to the team or fans. All we can look forward to is Spring Training in February and the 2026 MLB regular season. With the Postseason currently in progress, the Rangers will come back even stronger in the new year. Hopefully, 2026 will see them back in the playoffs and possibly, an AL West title, something they haven't won since 2016.

See Photos at end. On Wednesday September 10, Somers was hoping to remain undefeated, and after taking the first two versus visiting Ossining, the prospects were good. 23-21 in favor of the Tuskers and Katie Kourakos was primed at the net to set up match point. But the hitter/setter had something else in mind.

2025 Division Series Preview
It was 30 years ago that the Division Series was officially introduced into Major League Baseball; originally, we were supposed to get this in 1994, but the strike killed the rest of the season and the postseason. 1995 was the first official season for the Division Series, which served as the postseason's opening round until the introduction the Wild Card Game in 2012. The Division Series currently serves as the second round and introduces the teams who received byes and avoided the Wild Card Series. In addition, it increases the margin of error, as the Division Series is played under a best-of-five format.

CFL Week 17 Recap: Don't Mess With Success
We need to talk. I didn't address this in my Week 16 recap, but I have to now. It's old news, but it's still fresh. As the saying goes, "There'll be some changes made." Very stupid ones. CFL Commissioner Stewart Johnston announced that a number of rule changes will be made to the league we all love, and they will take place during the next two seasons. Let's start chronologically, shall we?

The Last One Standing: Seattle Mariners
According to multiple sources, the Los Angeles Dodgers are still the heavy favorites to win the World Series. However, I beg to differ on that. The Seattle Mariners success this season has been recognized and noticed by the league and baseball world. It's all due to mainly one player: Cal Raleigh. He's been breaking records left and right and I believe that the Mariners will not only reach the World Series, but to win it all. Raleigh will be named World Series MVP. I made both of these predictions in my Postseason story, which you can read down below.
