Boston 1, Harvard 0
Boston visited Harvard and handed the 25th ranked team a 1-0 loss on its home field. Abigail McNulty scored at the 15:22 mark of the first half as Boston improved to 7-6. Harvard suffered its first defeat, falling to 7-1-2. McNulty, from Stow, Massachusetts is a junior who scored her third goal of the season which is a career best. The goal was the fifth of her career. She currently has three assists this season. Last season she tallied two goals and a career best seven assists. Boston will travel to Washington, D.C. to take on American on Oct. 8.
Charleston Southern 1, Presbyterian 0
Charleston Southern recorded its third straight shutout, beating host Presbyterian in Big South action. The Buccaneers improved to 5-6-1 and 3-1 in Big South play. Daniela Contreras scored the game's lone goal as the losing squad sank to 0-9-3 and 0-3-1 in conference play. Contreras, a sophomore midfielder from San Jose, Costa Rica scored her second goal of the season. She started the season with a goal in a 9-0 beating o Brewton-Parker. In 12 contests she has two goals and two assists. Her numbers are up from just one assist in 15 matches last season. Charleston Southern has outscored its last three opponents 5-0. On Oct. 8, the Buccaneers will conference foe High Point.

Penn 1, Fairleigh Dickinson 0
Sizzy Lawton rescued Penn from yet another tie when she scored a goal at 60:32 to lift her team to a win over visiting Fairleigh Dickinson. Penn improved to 3-1-7, while Fairleigh Dickinson fell to 4-8-1. Penn began its season with three ties before beating Lehigh 2-1. In game five, Penn tied Navy 1-1, before trouncing Stony Brook 3-0. Another tie followed that win as the match against Saint Mary's ended at 1-1. Penn's lone loss came after a visit to California where it loss 3-0, before two more ties against Harvard and Cornell respectively.
Lawton's goal was her third of the season and first in five games, when she scored against Stony Brook. So far this season she has three goals and four assists. Over her career she has collected 12 assists and nine goals in 42 contests over three seasons. Lawton is a senior from Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. Penn will host Columbia on Oct. 8.

UCLA 5, Oregon State 0
The NCAA's number one squad UCLA improved to 11-0 and 3-0 in PAC-12 play as it routed conference opponent Oregon State 5-0 on the road. The Bruins scored over four goals or more for the fourth time in their last six contests. Reilyn Turner led the UCLA attack with a hat-trick posting the game's first three goals. She also recorded an assist along with teammate Ally Lemos when Sofia Cook scored the game's final goal at 52:28.
A junior from Laguna Beach, California, Turner has been a goal scoring machine at UCLA, posting 27 in her first 47 matches. She scored her career best 11, as a freshman to also go with a career high of five assists in 17 games, during the 2020 season. This season Turner has six goals and two assists in 10 appearances.
UCLA looks to carry on its unbeaten season tomorrow, Oct. 6 when it hosts Arizona State, before facing Arizona, Oct. 9.
