Phil Foden & Bunny Shaw Won the Player of the year award

Among the most distinguished honors in English football are the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Awards. According to votes cast by other experts, the awards recognize the best players in a number of categories each year. Incredible performances in the Premier League and other leagues have made the 2023–2024 season exciting. These are some of the major PFA Award winners from this year.

Three months after winning the FWA Footballer of the Year award following Manchester City's fourth consecutive Premier League title, Phil Foden completed a double as he was named the 2024 Professional Football Association (PFA) Player's Player of the Year. Foden finished the league campaign with 19 league goals and eight assists. Those 19 goals came from victories against Brentford and Aston Villa, including two hat-tricks.

For the first time since the 2009–10 season, English players have won both of the men's honors.

For that season, Wayne Rooney and James Milner were named player and young player of the year, respectively.

To win this award is something very special and it is one that I am very proud of and grateful for. To be recognized this way by your fellow professionals means everything and I would like to thank everyone who voted for me. Last season was another very special one for everyone at the club, but now all our focus is concentrated on trying to achieve more success this term." said Foden.

Khadija Shaw, forward for Manchester City women's team, won the Women's Player of the Year award after closing the gap between herself and nearest competitors Lauren James and Elisabeth Terland by eight goals with 21 goals in the WSL past season.

Cole Palmer's exceptional performance with Chelsea during the 2023–24 season earned him the title of young player of the year. In the Premier League during the 2023–2024 season, the 22-year-old assisted on 11 goals and scored 22 himself, with only Erling Haaland scoring more goals than the England international. Palmer topped Bukayo Saka and Kobbie Mainoo, two of his fellow teammates from England, who were also nominated, as was Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United.

Grace Clinton, 21, was named PFA Women's Young Player of the Year. She excelled in the 2023–2024 season while on loan at Tottenham Hotspur, making 20 league games and contributing four goals and four assists. Clinton also performed admirably in the League Cup and was crucial to Spurs' victory in the Women's FA Cup. Lauren James, Aggie Beever-Jones, Khiara Keating, Maya Le Tissier, and Jess Park were among the names on the Top Six shortlist that Clinton defeated to win the trophy.

It was mostly made up of players from Manchester City and Arsenal who voted for the Premier League team of the year. In contrast, the Gunners have David Raya, William Saliba, Gabriel, Declan Rice, and Martin Odegaard. The reigning champions have Kyle Walker, Rodri, Erling Haaland, and Phil Foden. Joining them are Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa and Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool.
