Rayniah Jones

For the first time in two seasons Tyra Gittens didn't win our Athlete of the Year honor. This year the award went to Rayniah Jones of UCF. Here is why. She was among the nation's best in sprinting and hurdles racing. Jones won the 60 meters, 200 meters and 60-meter hurdles at The American Athletic Conference indoor championship meet. On a more impressive level she ranks fourth in the 60-meter hurdles at 7.90, 13th in the NCAA in the 60 meters this season at 7.23 and 32nd in the 200 meters at 23.35.
