AEW Double or Nothing 2025 Predictions
Who will walk out a winner at the 2025 Double or Nothing PPV?

AEW's Double or Nothing PPV will take place on Sunday, May 25th. The event moves from its regular home of Las Vegas, NV to Glendale, Arizona. There will be plenty of fireworks with championships and the Owen Hart Cup finals on the line. Plus, the show wouldn't be complete without an Anarchy in the Arena match.
It promises to be another explosive show with a few surprises. So who will be standing tall at the end of the night?
Hangman Page vs. Will Ospreay (Men's Owen Hart Tournament Finals)
This is the main event of Double or Nothing, and it's going to be a classic match at Hangman Page and Will Ospreay battle for the Owen Cup. Whoever wins, will go on to face Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at All In and become the ultimate babyface as they take down the Death Riders.
Hangman and Ospreay are two of the hottest wrestlers currently in AEW and both men are deserving of a championship opportunity. Ospreay has momentum on his side and it’s his dream to walk into the Forbidden Door PPV in his hometown as champion. But Hangman is looking for redemption after his championship loss left him in a slump. This is a match that could go either way, but look for Ospreay to pick up the victory.
Jamie Hayter vs. Mercedes Mone (Women’s Owen Hart Tournament Finals)
On the women’s side of the Owen finals, Jamie Hayter takes on Mercedes Mone. Mone is already the TBS Champion and is looking to add the AEW Women’s Championship to her collection. She’s been a dominant force so far and seems poised to win on Sunday. However, Hayter is proving to be a formidable opponent. Hayter is a former Women’s Champion, who was sidelined for over a year with a back injury. Winning the Owen and challenging Toni Storm for the championship she lost would be a great story.
Hayter might be the underdog heading into Double or Nothing, but at the end of the night she’ll be leaving Mone in tears.
FTR vs. Daniel Garcia and Nigel McGuiness
FTR are have been running roughshod since turning heel. Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood do whatever they want without any regard to others. One person they’ve angered is commentator Nigel McGuiness. After weeks of harassment from FTR, McGuiness is ready to step back into the ring. He’ll team with Daniel Garcia to take FTR in what’s sure to be a chaotic match. Of course, the main question is how well Garcia and McGuiness will work together.
This is one of those matches that could go either way, but FTR will find a way to sneak out a win.
Mark Briscoe vs. Ricochet (Stretcher Match)
This is a match that should take place on Dynamite or Collision, not a PPV. But Ricochet and Mark Briscoe managed to make the show and will face off in a stretcher match. Briscoe will put up a good fight in this filler match which will have the heelish Ricochet knocking out a win.
Kazuchika Okada vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey (AEW Continental Championship)
Okada’s year-long reign as Continental Champion could come to an end at Double or Nothing. “Speedball” Mike Bailey is one of AEW’s newest signees and a fan favorite. He’s got the athleticism and fastness to keep up with anyone, and will undoubtedly give Okada a run for his money. While Bailey would make a good champion, Sunday won’t be his night as Okada successfully retains.
The Hurt Syndicate vs. Sons of Texas (AEW Tag Team Championship)
AEW tag champs The Hurt Syndicate are enjoying a successful reign. But Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara aka Sons of Texas could spoil their plans. Rhodes and Guevara are already the ROH World Tag Team Champions, and they could add more gold around their waist. However, Bobby Langley and Shelton Benjamin will do whatever it takes to keep their gold.
While this will be a good match, the outcome is obvious. The Hurt Syndicate will retain with help with their newest member MJF.
“Timeless” Toni Storm vs. Mina Shirakawa (AEW Women’s Championship)
Mina Shirakawa is officially signed with AEW and has her sights set on the Women’s Championship. But to get it, she’ll have to go against Toni Storm. The two have history and Shirakawa unsuccessfully challenged for Storm’s title at last year’s Forbidden Door. Their second title bout is sure to be a banger, plus there’s the question of whether Mariah May will make an appearance during the match. As for the winner, there’s no way Storm is losing anytime soon.
Kenny Omega, Swerve Strickland, Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, Katsuyori Shibata, & Willow Nightingale vs. The Young Bucks, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, & Marina Shafir (Anarchy in the Arena)
Double or Nothing wouldn’t be complete with an Anarchy in the Arena match. The Death Riders have been running rampant in AEW, and now The Young Bucks have joined in on the melee. But they’ve got an all-star team of babyfaces ready to take them down. Omega, Strickland, and crew will give The Death Riders what they wanted, a bloody battle.
There’s going to be chaos in the arena as the two groups tear each other apart. Also, expect some interference from Gabe Kidd on the Death Riders side. However, it’ll be team Omega who stands tall at the end of the night.
