Every new season, the NBA gives birth to some dark horse teams, especially with young rosters of players that people don't think are surprising, but achieve good records and rankings and make the playoffs. For example, last season the Grizzlies in the Western Conference had the second-best record in the league, and the Pelicans, made the playoffs last season with a bye. In the new season, the Pelicans have a trio of Ingram + McConnell + Zion Williams, and both the Grizzlies and Pelicans will be strong dark horse teams in the West. Also, the Eastern Conference has two young dark horse rosters on the rise... $350 m + $260 m! After the two trades, two sets of twins are born in the NBA and the super dark horses rise big time.

American media ESPN experts wrote an article analyzing the new season of the Eastern Conference strong teams such as the Green Army, Bucks, 76 res, Bucks, Heat, and other lineups have the strength to punch the championship, and the new young lineups: the Cavaliers and Hawks, this summer are through the trade to strengthen, to create a stronger lineup, ready to impact the new season playoffs and championship. Both the Cavaliers and Hawks now have an All-Star back court duo, and the Twins are a force to be reckoned with. The dark horse teams in the Eastern Conference for the new season are the Cavaliers and Hawks, with Tran Young and Mitchell both looking to lead their respective teams to a superb rise.

Superstar

Cavalier's twins back court

The Cavaliers acquired the Jazz's number one player, Mitchell, in a big 8-for-1 trade this summer off-season. Mitchell has led his team to the playoffs in each of his five years with the Jazz, but the playoffs have reached the second round at best. American media NBA salary experts report that the twin back court combination of Mitchell + Garland is worth a lot of money, with Mitchell at $163 million for 5 years + Garland at $193 million for 5 years, for a total twin value of $356 million. Many have said that Garland's early contract extension with the Cavaliers this summer is overpriced, but the Cavaliers drafted and developed their star, and it wouldn't make sense not to extend his contract at the top of his salary. Last season, Garland and Jarrett Allen were both named to the All-Star team for the first time in their careers, and Mitchell has been named to the All-Star team for three straight years.

Right now, the Ca's have a strong quad-core system: Mitchell, Garland, Jarrett Allen, and Mosley. All of these young players are improving quickly, and both Jarrett Allen and Mosley are the core of the interior on both offense and defense. The only concern for fans is that Mitchell and Garland are both 6'5" guards, which is short for the NBA, and both All-Star guards are strong on offense and weak on the defensive end. If they make the playoffs, short guards are easy for opponents to do defensive targeting. Therefore, the American media NBA experts believe that the Cavaliers' dark horse lineup, has a chance to play in the Eastern Conference playoffs, but it is difficult to reach the championship lineup, of the lack of a superstar.

Hawks' twin back court

The Hawks also scooped up All-Star guard Demount Murray from the Spurs in a big trade this summer off-season. Demount Murray averaged 21.1 points + 8.3 rebounds + 9.2 assists + 2.0 steals (tops in the league) last season, he was the league leader in steals and plays great defense. Tran Young is a two-way guard: a scorer and an organizer, but Demount Murray is a better passer-assistant and a better defender, which complements Tran Young's strengths and weaknesses. This makes the all-star duo of Tran Young and Demount Murray even more desirable. Tran Young's 5-year, $205 million top salary contract, Demount Murray's 4-year, $64 million contract, Murray's annual salary is super cost-effective, and the Hawks' duo is worth a total of $269 million, which is a lot cheaper than the Cavaliers' back court duo.

The dark horse of the basketball court

The Hawks' core lineup for the new season: Tran Young, Demount Murray, Capella, Collins, Hunter, Ordovician, etc. The 24-year-old Hunter also rose superbly with the Hawks last season, and Collins has been touted but never sold, having to stay and play with the Hawks. Capella is the league's top blue-collar center who averages very good rebounds and caps. The strength of this Hawks roster is capped by how well Tran Young and Demount Murray play together, the other helpers are just icing on the cake. So, what chemistry Tran Young and Demount Murray will have in the new season is what the whole league is waiting for.

The Hawks' Tran Young + Demount Murray, the Cavaliers' Mitchell + Garland, who will be the better duo in the new season? Which team will be the biggest dark horse in the East, the Cavaliers or the Hawks?
