Affiliate Marketing:How to earn on the Internet
Make money online

Affiliate marketing basically consists of promoting other products, where a commission is charged for each sale. This is one of the most popular methods of promoting and selling products on the Internet. And while in our region this method is still popular, on the global market, in this way, large sums of money are earned.
This is a very popular way of increasing the sales of a product. While in classic stores you re-sell products, in the case of this type of sales, you do not sell anything concrete, but only direct customers to another store. In this way, many websites earn very well, which has led to the great development of the market that amounts to billions of dollars.
What is Affiliate marketing?
The definition of the concept of affiliate marketing explains in detail how this type of promotion is carried out. It is a marketing activity whereby, by promoting products or services on our website, we direct the prospective buyer to the website of the manufacturer or provider of the services. If, based on our recommendation, a purchase is made, we will receive a percentage of the sales from the manufacturer.
Unlike managing an online store, in this case, we do not deal with the management of direct sales, product storage, guarantees and the like. Our responsibility is to convince the reader, the potential buyer, to click on the product link. He will then direct him to the site where the actual sale of the product takes place.
In this way, we are able to monetize interesting products for our audience without physically owning them. Simply put, we earn money from other people's products that we promote on our site. When we promote a product, we can only hope that visitors will turn into customers. We have no liability if the product is defective or the service is inadequate. We are simply someone who connects two parties.
Another advantage is the fact that we can work from home or from any point on the planet. This specific type of marketing does not require meetings or contacting the end customer. The only thing we should care about is how much we can earn and how reliable the seller is.
Of course, the question arises, how does the seller know that I have recommended someone to visit their online store and buy a product? And how can we be sure we'll get paid for it?
The Basics of Affiliate Marketing
In this process of promoting and selling, everyone does what they know best. The marketer promotes a product for a percentage of the sales, and the seller earns an additional sale that they might not otherwise make. In this way, everyone focuses on their work - there are many successful companies where all promotional work is done through an affiliate program.
Thanks to this type of marketing, different types of promotions are also obtained, because the producers are not interested in the way we write about the product. Namely, the affiliate is not the official representative of the company and therefore has more freedom in communicating with consumers. This allows promotion using a different (less corporate) language than the manufacturer normally uses.
Affiliate marketing basically has three important elements, namely: the seller or supplier of products/services, the partner (affiliate) and the consumer.
The service provider or manufacturer
To trigger the chain of events, we need to start from the basic element - the product. To begin with, someone must have something they want to sell. It can be about specific products, such as video games, lamps, paintings, cameras... On the other hand, services such as travel packages, online dating, astrology, business advice, etc. can be promoted.
Many times, the manufacturer or brand offers services that may be interesting for a certain target group, and it is in their interest that someone brings them as many customers interested in their product as possible. In this case, it is necessary to explore the market, reach consumers and explain to them why they need that particular product.
This process requires knowledge and an investment in the form of money and time to create promotional actions. Therefore, for many it is more profitable to let someone else do this work for a percentage of the sales. Of course, often affiliate marketing is not enough to achieve the proposed goals, but even as an additional activity, it is very profitable because it does not cause financial risks to the producer.
This specific form of promotion does not require the manufacturer to participate in the creation of the promotional activities, nor to pay for them. He just approves the promotion of products on a certain site (or social network) and waits for new customers. The producer minimizes his risk in this way, because this way he can get more customers, so even if he gives him a percentage, it is worth it. Among the most famous companies that work in this way are Amazon and Rakuten.
