The Road Not Taken. Top Story - April 2018.
It’s rare that a team is able to build itself through the draft and find a bonafide superstar to anchor the franchise. The Seattle Supersonics turned Oklahoma City Thunder were able to find three in as many consecutive drafts from 2007-2009 with Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden. The Thunder had the makings of being perennial championship contenders for years to come. They achieved great team success during their time together, including an NBA Finals appearance; the only one in OKC’s franchise history. After their successful 2012 season, Harden was traded to the Houston Rockets after being unable to reach a contract agreement. This was the end for them as a trio, who at one point was walking down the same path of greatness together are now playing on opposing sides, going after the same goal.

Worst MLB Free Agent Signings of All Time
Aside from winning the World Series or beating a sworn rival, I'm not sure anything in baseball is as exciting as free agency. This is especially true when there is a lot of talent on the market, and you're unsure if your team will make a big move or not. It keeps you alert and on the edge of your seat the entire offseason. As soon as you hear your team signed one of those stars, you're excited, for like a minute.

Pros & Cons of Leather vs. Synthetic Soccer Cleats
Some people believe that the material of soccer cleats doesn't play an important role when you're out there on the field. In reality though, it plays a significant role, especially when there's a major difference between leather and synthetic cleats. I always tell my nephew this since he plays soccer. When he was picking out what type of cleats to wear, I told him to be aware of the material that he's picking out. He wouldn't want to wear a pair of cleats created with a material that would make his feet ache when playing.

Best NHL Defensemen of All Time
We are blessed as hockey fans to have so much skill in the NHL today. Every team has a star and most have a few, leading to some of the most exciting and electric hockey in NHL history. In the past, there was not as much skill and it definitely was not spread out evenly. Dynasties were the name of the game for the majority of hockey history, and a lot of NHL defensemen were at the forefront of them. So let's take a look back at some of the true superstar defenders that changed the game, and some that are more recent that are doing the same.

Best MLS Head Coaches
There are so many talented athletes and coaches in soccer, but we definitely do have our favorites. We'll mainly appreciate the players and coaches from the teams we're biggest fans of. It only makes sense, of course, but I'm not going to be biased here because there are other coaches and athletes from other teams that perform amazingly.

Music City Is a Sports Town
Nashville, Tennessee, A.K.A. Music City. This southern metropolis has been the dream of every starry-eyed wannabe singer/songwriter that wants to make it big for decades. Well, not anymore! OK, so a ton of people who want a break in the music industry still move to Nashville all the time, but that's not the point of this, now is it? Nashville has shown that this city deeply cares about her sports teams (yes, a city is referred to in the feminine tense, much like ships and lake monsters; shoutout to How I Met Your Mother on that).

Sunday Morning Matchmaker
Last night, the UFC returned to Atlantic City, New Jersey for the first time since 2014 for UFC Fight Night: Barboza vs Lee. Despite a couple of fights falling apart at the last minute, the card was everything I had hoped it would be. There is a lot to talk about, but I would really like to focus on the Main and Co-Main events and what the outcomes of those bouts mean for the competitors involved as well as their respective divisions.
