A Life Touched by Hockey
I am what you could call athletically challenged. You know, I was the kid who was always picked last for scrimmage football, schoolyard baseball and road hockey. But even though I never played on any organized sports team, my life has been touched by the sport of hockey.

Ardsley High School Athletes to Remember
Ardsley Three Sport Athlete Strong Arms His Way as Quarterback Dan Stein's first choice for a fall sport upon entering high school as a freshman would have been hockey. Minus that choice at Ardsley, the baseball and basketball player opted out of simply sitting around until the weather turned cold. "I thought I'd give football a try," he said. So as a baseball catcher, his strong arm put this eventual three sport athlete at the center of the gridiron for four full years.

Reason First: Ban Boxing Immediately (Part II)
This is an appeal to the head. The brain. That most sacred of bodily organs. The heart is but a glorious and glorified pump. That’s it. The cessation of all forms of boxing should go into effect immediately. With the death of the second fighter in one week, Dinamita had his life taken away from him all because of “sport.” After sustaining devastating blows to the head, the pugilist began to bleed from the nose. Hours later, he was dead. And this is what is called a sport of agility and discipline? The tally sheet of deaths by way of moving around the square ring paints a picture of just how cruel the activity can be.

The Ungiven Gift. Top Story - July 2019.
He was pencil thin and walked with a limp. A thirteen year-old boy with huge yearning eyes, who was always an unlucky patient on the children's floor of the hospital, where my youngest daughter was all too often incarcerated. Curtis had sickle cell anemia, an incurable, painful, and terminal disease that plagues young people of African descent.

Gladiators
I know many of you are aware of the bloody spectacle that was the gladiator matches. You are also probably aware of how the "Christian" Emperor Theodosius I had the games banned after imposing Christianity as a state religion and thus continuing the genocide of non-Christians.

Reason First: Ban Boxing Immediately
End boxing now. Non-professional, semi-pro, professional. All of it should be banned. The death of boxer Maxim Dadashev is just another example of why this brutal “sport” should be retired forever. Like the death of Johnny Owen almost four decades ago, and so many others, Dadashev suffered a brain injury that caused his death days after his fight against Subriel Matias. This vicious activity is just legalized killing in some instances. The harshness that is inherent in pugilism is a sign that our brutish nature craves the jabs, hooks, and uppercuts that strike against these figures. It’s the entertainment and business that drives the fights. Money is not the root of all evil. And the love of it certainly isn’t either. So, to blame the dollar would be an error.

State of the Player Pool
When Gregg Berhalter was announced as the new coach of the US in September last year, one of the biggest talking points surrounded the team’s veterans. Who stays and who goes? The Altidore/Bradley vitriol was fierce, and on either end of the spectrum, you had two schools of thought.

To Save the Kickoff or Not to Save the Kickoff
I'll admit you may find it overly dramatic, predictable, and cliche to play on Shakespeare's iconic line, but it's more apt than you may care to admit or realize. Hamlet was contemplating suicide, life, and death. And if concussions are the deciding factor in Football-As-We-Know-Its's life or death, then the kickoff is the leading suspect and major culprit. Up until last year I was a stubborn defender of Gridiron Football's most dangerous play, mostly out of pure tradition.
