Somers Girls go to 4-0 with 3-2 Victory over John Jay
If time of possession counted toward the final score in soccer, Saturday afternoon’s Girls Class A meeting between Somers and John Jay would have been a blowout. But the Tuskers will still take the narrow 3-2 victory they held on for, and as long they keep the handy work with their feet going forward, the success should continue.

The Uneven Ice in the NHL
January 4th, 2020, saw an afternoon NHL game being played between the Minnesota Wild and the visiting Winnipeg Jets. The one consistency throughout the game was the constantly inconsistent calls, which led to the overtime victory for the home team. The need to hold the officials, who are all members of the NHLOA (National Hockey League Officials Association) is needed, especially when there are games such as this called, and players being injured and no retribution being made in the form of missed calls.

The Football Family and I
I'll admit it. I'm not the biggest fan of football. I've never exactly followed a specific team and if anybody asks me who I support I usually tell them the first one that springs to mind. Luckily, for me, that's seemed to work on every occasion and never gone much further than a "great season you've had" icebreaker. Apart from that, I tend to hide in the crowd and pretend I know what I'm talking about. In reality, however, I'm the most out of depth person in the room. And funnily enough – I'm perfectly fine with that.

Things to Note for First-time Skaters
I went skating for the first time ever with an African Association in my school and I had a cocktail of emotions that I was feeling before, during and after skating. What I had imagined in my head was like the ones in the movies where the guy holds the girl or the girl hold the guy and one of them falls in such a pleasant way but my reality was far from that. So, I’m going to be dropping some things that I learned in my first skating experience.
