Why The Foster Care System Needs to Be Improved
When I was eight years old, my siblings and I entered the foster care system in Florida. Being in foster care, I saw and had to overcome the daily problems and flaws of this broken system, which is why I'm going to inform people about the issues that need to be changed. I will be providing information on who’s involved, the problems with the foster care system, the problems with the foster parents, and why there ultimately needs to be change.

Is Your Cat Drinking Enough Water?
We always hear how important it is for humans to be drinking enough water through the day. However, this is just as important for your pets. Cats can be especially tricky because they are often picky about the source of their water. It can also be hard to monitor their water intake as they often like to play with their water bowl or dump it over entirely. Follow these tips to help ensure that your cat is getting enough access to the kind of water that they like to drink.

Adorable Toys Your Pet Needs
Pets are always super cute, and they only seem to get cuter when they're playing with a favorite toy. After all, there are tons of dogs on social media and cats on Instagram that have become famous for doing cute things with cute toys — and for basically breaking the internet with their cuteness.

In the Wake of #Metoo
It’s been years now, two decades to be exact, that a poised mentor told me I would never be a writer, I was high school quality at best, and that I was mediocre at it on a good day. After twenty years you think I would have forgotten those cruel words. I did not. Instead, at twenty-one, I remember how much I was mortified and crushed. It was college, and I sat in my advisor’s office and cried. He was young, non-tenured, and had to play the political balance. When I told him what occurred, after pulling his jaw from the desk it had just fallen on, he bluntly said: “You’ll never see that bastard again.”

Pets in College
When buying a dog, most people don’t immediately think of the potential future expenses that are likely to occur once the dog reaches old age. In the beginning, all people think about is the dog in its prime, healthy stage. If the dog was able to stay this way throughout its life, owning them would be perfect, but sadly, that’s not the case.

Not Taken Seriously
Periods... Every girl gets them eventually. For some, bleeding 3-5 days out of a month just passes by like any other day. Not for me. I got my period on the first day of seventh grade. I came home from school and just after I finished eating supper I went to the washroom. All day my stomach had been really bad, and I was light headed and nauseated. To my surprise when I was in the washroom I noticed some faint staining in my underwear and I realised what was happening.
