Top Must-Haves If You Struggle With a Shedding Dog
Enter Nyla. Christmas time a year ago, my boyfriend and I were browsing a dog rescue page when we came across her. An eight week old Yorkie/Cocker Spaniel rescued from a puppy mill with her 6 siblings. We couldn't resist! We filled out the application in hopes we would be approved for any one of the six pups, and we were lucky enough to be matched with her.

Why I Don’t Shave
I don’t shave my underarms. Right now some of you are mentally giving me high fives, raising your fist to cheer me on and cursing the beauty standards that making shaving your underarms so important. Others literally gagged a little and may have stopped reading because you think this is another stand against the patriarchy and their beauty standards. It’s not.

Why Hair Is Much More Important Than It Seems
Hair: people usually have a love-hate relationship with it. To some people, it's whatever or a nuisance. Personally, my hair has always been important to me. Since I was a child, I had long hair that extended past my behind. It was like a security blanket. In high school, I would always have my hair down, covering my face when I wanted. It helped me with my insecurities about my acne, and my face in general. It also helped when I felt self-conscious about my body. I would just simply bring my hair to the front, and hide what I didn't want people to see. For school homecomings and proms, my hair curled to perfection, and gave me a boost of confidence. My hair was like my trademark. I was told multiple times that people can identify in a crowd just by looking at my hair. For the longest time, my long locks had meant something to me. It was more of a part of me than just the fact it was on my head.

The Beginning
I found out we were expecting our second child on the first one's third birthday. I awoke that morning with tingling breasts and a sense of dread. Rolling over to my husband, I told him then even though it was 6 AM on a Sunday he needed to find a pregnancy test. So on a cold January morning, he drove to the nearest BP garage and asked the bored, gum chewing assistant to pass him a Clearblue from behind the counter. She must have thought him odd; a tattooed, long haired surfer-esque guy in tracksuit pants and a green t-shirt with holes in the sides (which I keep telling him to throw out) grinning from ear to ear as he thanks her and drives home with the precious cargo.

A Love Letter to My Body After 3 Kids
I'm only 28, yet my belly is not as tight as it used to be. My breasts don't sit quite as high, and, if we're being honest, are not even close to being the same size. My nails are more brittle, and I'm starting to see laugh lines appear by my eyes.
