I'm a Teen Hearts MODEL!
Hey guys, so here's the deal! I have recently gotten chosen to be an online paid model, BUT of course to be paid I have to promote. Promotion on its own is a huge obstacle for me that I am barely learning to tackle. The point of this though, is not the promotion, more so just the opportunity I am getting to be a model.

The 9 Month Itch
On August 12th, 2015 I found out I was pregnant. It was the happiest moment of my life. I was finally about to be a mother, something I've been looking forward to as long as I can remember. I was born to do this. Even my friends thought so, they always referred to me as the "mother" of the group and talked about how they knew I'd be a great mom. At 15 weeks I found out i would be having a baby boy! Just what I always wanted to have first!

10 Ways to Have Great Skin
I love the unstoppable feeling I have when my skin looks great. But over the years, I haven’t had such great luck with pretty skin. I’ve had acne since I was in elementary school, and my skin has always been super sensitive, so I turn splotchy and red easily. Over the past few years, I’ve figured out the best ways to take care of my skin, and it’s improved dramatically!

Secret
I am 23 and counting. There is nothing unusual about me, I live in an apartment, I go to college online, I have a boyfriend, I work full-time. I have a caring family and kind friends. However normal my life may appear, we all know that looks can be deceiving. As much as I trust in my family and friends, there is a secret I keep from them. I am a victim of rape.

Beauty Is In the Eye of the Beholder
Why are some people considered “more attractive than others”? There has been a significant amount of research done on the effect that advertising in the fashion and beauty industry has on women. By creating advertisements with unrealistic images of beauty, it has resulted in anxiety, low self-esteem, and low self-confidence in many women. Most of these negative emotions come from unhappiness among body and appearance when they do not look like the girls in the magazines. Who sets these beauty standards and how far will we go to become “beautiful” in society’s eyes?

Being a Young Mom
Being a young mom isn't the easiest thing you could think of. I had my son when I was 19. Going to all those doctors appointments, hearing all the big words all the doctors had to say—it was really scary! I'm here to tell you, if you're young like I was, you can do it. It is possible to be a young mother; it's just harder than if you were actually prepared.

My Mother
My mother Cleo passed away on January 5th, 2014. When my mom left this world, my heart was literally broken into pieces. Her pain and sudden illness started in November, around Thanksgiving. I was over her house waiting for the food to be done and she started having pain in her leg because her doctor had said that she had sciatica. The pain was so unbearable for her that she was down the whole time, so it was up to me to try and cook the food. At least you can say the food didn’t go so well. My sister came to the rescue with her food. After Thanksgiving was over, everything appeared to be back to normal with my mom.

Women of Color in the Beauty Industry
When Fenty Beauty dropped in September of 2017 during New York Fashion Week, I recall the buzz on my social media. From the girls with dark chocolate skin, to girls with porcelain skin like myself, they were itching to get their hands on the “Bad Girl’s” complexion products. Walking into any Sephora that month, you’d see darker-skinned girls picking out their shade, grins lighting up their faces, finally seeing their shade in mainstream makeup lines. But why has it taken so long in the 6,000 years cosmetics have been around for women of color to start seeing their shades on the racks?
