My Experience with Skinny Shaming
I'm a size zero—the size often referenced as the pinnacle of beauty. The phrase "you don't have to be a size zero to be beautiful" is one common to the body positivity movement, and I wholeheartedly agree. What I'm here to tell you is that not only does beauty come in different sizes, but being a size zero does not inherently mean you're confident and love your body. For me, it's meant quite the opposite.

Make sure you do your research before you decide to get nipple piercings. Nipple piercings are becoming more popular, and as many people are getting them done, others are wondering how bad it hurts and if they should get theirs done as well. Before getting my nipples pierced, I searched for hours trying to decide whether it was worth the pain and the money. After reading stories, watching videos, and looking at reviews on the piercing for hours, I decided that I was going to take the chance and go and get mine done. I have my top and bottom belly button pierced, my nipples, my ears, and I used to have my nose before I took it out. Although I have all these piercings, I am going to talk about the piercing that I love the most, my nipples.

Far from the idea that women are the "weaker sex," women have exhibited tenacity and bravery for centuries as they fight and die to claim the most basic human rights. In modern years, as the force of liberal ideas grew, women called themselves "suffragette" and "feminist" until critics added the words "man-hating" to the accepted definition. The words for demanding the right to vote or to determine one's own life outcomes have become shameful.

The Love of My Life
Have you ever met someone who has left such a lasting impact on who you are as a person? I have had many people come and go in my life who have made an everlasting effect; whether they were a friend, loved one, or an acquaintance, I have encountered many people who have each left some kind of mark. Recently, someone who I have been waiting to come into my life, for what seems like a very long time, entered my life; and I could not be happier. This certain someone has taught me one of the most important life lessons, how to love unconditionally.

Hey everyone, today I have a review on the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette which I bought on Monday from Beauty Bay for £37 which is just over £1 per eyeshadow as there are 35 colours in this palette. The colours look as if they are made for different eye colours and skin tones which is really nice for a palette.

I Am a Work in Progress
Since the beginning of my educational career, I have always been drawn to the importance of helping others. Before my mother passed away eleven years ago, I always dreamed about becoming a nurse, but it wasn’t until midway through my college experience that I realized that the medical field was not for me. It was during that time when I found myself being challenged. It was also during that time when I found my true passion, the act of servicing my community, working with young women and girls. I began my research on the topic of beauty representation in the media as well as in society and realized the amount of psychological damage, and psychological harm it does to women and girls starting at a young age. It was at that time that I picked up women and gender studies as a major because I was so intrigued.

Merry Christmas to Me, I Got an IUD
I have been a big fan on IUDs (intrauterine devices) for quite some time, but I never made a real effort to get one. I mentioned it to by OB/GYN in Chicago about a year ago, but they were having trouble with my insurance. I was already on the pill, and it was working quite well—in the sense that I hadn’t gotten pregnant. So I dropped the idea of an IUD and stuck with the birth control I already had.

Rescue Kitty
As many people know, furry family (AKA: dogs and cats) can be a much-needed balm on a troubled mind. I have suffered from PTSD and severe depression for several years. Part of this package includes cycling through different medications; but I have yet to find the right mix for my brain chemistry. While the medical industry figures that out, I take solace where I find it. I truly believe the unconditional love of fur babies can leave pawprints on your heart, and heal a great deal of sorrow. I have two such furries, a small terrier named Pumpkin, and her very best friend, a Cat named Nemoy. When I moved from Southern California to the City of Chicago, my treasured pets came with me to live with my very best friend, Daniel.
